A future UK quarterback has been honored as one of the best and brightest high school football player’s in America.
Eighty one high school student-athletes were selected from a pool of 3,500 to be a part of the National Football Foundation and College Football Hall of Fame’s (NFF) first ever Team of Distinction. The new honor is given to scholar-athletes who have achieved academically, earned athletic accolades and are involved in the community.
Representing the South Region, Nik Scalzo was a Team Captain for Cardinal Gibbons High School. He helped the school win their first ever championship while shattering school records. Not only was he an all-state selection, he earned a spot on the honor with a 4.63 GPA. FOUR. SIX. THREE. Incredible.
Congratulations to Scalzo, whose name will now be displayed permanently at a digital exhibit in the College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta. The quarterback will arrive on campus in ten days.
