Friday ticket update: Getting closer to a sellout

Tomorrow night’s game vs. Mississippi State is huge and Kentucky’s been pulling out all the stops to sell out Kroger Field. A quick check of the Ticketmaster map shows there are still seats available, albeit far fewer than earlier this week:

The athletic department isn’t giving a ticket update today, but as of yesterday morning, 49,350 tickets were out for the game. We’re hearing that Kentucky sold 3,000 tickets at yesterday’s flash sale in Paintsville, meaning Kash Daniel will have his own cheering section. There are still $42 tickets available in sections 201 and 207-211 via Reply Buy. To secure yours, text KENTUCKY to 20123. You can also visit

Be sure to check your ticket to see which section you’re in so you can dress accordingly:

I hope the game sells out and the crowd rocks the house, but it falls on deaf ears when I hear ppl complain about empty seats, ESPECIALLY ADs and pro team owners. Average folks have been priced out of the game, so they get no sympathy from me.

And this is especially true considering how much cheaper it is ti have an awesome TV and theater setup at home, and food that doesn’t make you take out a 2nd mortgage on the house.

I get that but fans should at least check the trend and save accordingly. Each year we have 2 or 3 gimme games that if you want to go cheap and see a W then you go to them. But there’s typically 1 game each year that we need to pack the house and this is definitely it. Now if we continue to win then there will be more but usually it’s been 1 get up game and if we lose and they try to say keep packing the house then you can say price gouge. No excuse tomorrow. You can find cheap tickets if you look hard enough. We need to have this place rocking like back in 06/07 when we were setting attendance records for common wealth.

So do you wear a generic white shirt if you don’t own a white UK shirt or wear a blue UK shirt.
