So, maybe Stoops makes a counteroffer to give Gran total control over UK’s offense? Fingers crossed. 😉

    1. JRock1966

LOL….I see what you did there.

  2. tmcclan16

    Hmmmmm decisions decisions!

    1. DelrayCat

This could be win-win for both parties.
All depends on the hire. Need a home run. I opt for Bobby Petrino….lol.
I know it is crazy, but that spread option with Touchdown Terry, he could blossom into another Llamar Jackson.

    2. DelrayCat

      So okay…somebody Petrino-ish.

    3. Luether

      TAKE IT…

  3. Ninjashock

It would be pretty incredible if he turned down an opportunity like this. No hard feelings if he goes.

  4. jahanc2uky

NO! **** that Stoops. Beat the $ offer and give him a promotion to Co-HC position, like in remember the titans. UGA takes Eddie and we do not beat them in the next 1/2 a decade. UK MUST win this off-season by keeping team intact! That includes backup QB and all coaches!!

  5. Kentuckybbnfan01

He should go but the real question is who do we hire next I would love to give a oc that likes to throw the ball downfield that’s what terry does best

  6. meeksfor3

He deeply ponders as the Jeopardy theme song plays softly in the background. 🙂

  7. ClutchCargo

Wait, didn’t post say he was leaning toward staying, just a couple of minutes ago?

    1. StillBP

Crap. Looks like this turd stuck, Clutch.

    2. ClutchCargo

Not just yet, it might fall off shortly. I’ll believe it when we have more info than “a source tells KRS…”

    3. ClutchCargo

      Remember: facts are optional here.

    4. StillBP

      Lol so true

  8. big cat

Don’t believe it, nose whistle. Is this a reverse Yahtzee moment…lol

    1. ClutchCargo

Reverse Yahtzee… would that be “Sorry!” ?

  9. secrick

I can’t believe Georgia wants a coach that bigoblue sadi is awful.

  10. Han

No one would blame him for leaving for that, but it’s not like Georgia is gonna be a less stressful job, either. As much blame and hate as he gets here, there’ll be more there if he doesn’t excel.

  11. Big johnson

It’s funny how all these Gran haters have changed their tune.

    1. ready4nineNOW

      Isn’t it?

    2. BigolBlue

Peace sucker. He isnt a good play caller. Is that tune flat or good?

    3. jahanc2uky

Maybe it isnt totally on him for the play calling….

    4. JPGott2

Who has changed their tune? His offense stunk this year. The number show this. Needing the defense to not allow a SINGLE 1st down in the 2nd half of the Mizzou game, while still needing a walk off TD to win is nuts.

Keep making up your own reality.

      Go Cats!

  12. BlueByYou

kinda funny that when you go to Georgia football site, Gran isn’t even mentioned as a long shot to get the job….or to even be considered.

  13. DerBaron

Bobby “The Brat” Petrino needs a job.

  14. Bluecreeker

UK had a football program before him, will have one after him. Every opportunity hold a possibility to upgrade.

  15. blueballs80

No brainer. That is a NC contending team and he can boost his resume if he does well for a head coaching gig. Key being he has total control of the offense. He is gone.

  16. mcp157

We have gone through a few OC in recent history and need to try and keep this one. Stoops needs to loosen the reigns and give him full control.

  17. UKinIN

If he takes it, it’s a real f/u to the UK program, players, and staff. He goes from the program trying to get past Georgia, to the program stopping UK from taking the next step.

    1. truebluethroughandthrough

How is that? That’s pretty selfish to say. Kind of like Snell and Allen leaving to go pro. Dumb comment award. You’re probably one of the several that have done nothing but complain about him too…

  18. KentuckyCommenter

My sources are telling me that Gunnar Hoak’s dad and Danny Clark’s dad are front runners for the position.

  19. RealCatsFan

Where are all the trolls who were saying he sucks and good riddance and all that? Looks like you f-tards might get your wish.

  20. bwise

    Hahaha good!

  21. BigolBlue

Hire me. I know sports and am a good people person. Cal is an underachiever too

    1. StillBP

      I bet even Hardee’s wouldn’t hire you.

    2. bigbluebanana

If I was a head coach, I’d hire you for my staff. Being sincere here, kinda how some presidents in the past filled their staff with people who had severely opposing viewpoints. Best case scenario would be our team’s success through the friction. Worst case scenario would end in me smoking you in an interpretive dance competition at the 50 yard line at midnight of homecoming.

    3. notFromhere

Being able to tell it’s a football or a basketball doesn’t make you hireable. A 3 year old can do that. The onlything to be learned from you, BoB is that delusional people can type

  22. StuckinLville

He will leave because of some of our dumbass fans

    1. JPGott2

You are right, he will leave because of the fans, and not because of the money, or them being a national title contender. I swear some of our fan base are mentally deficient.

    2. UKinIN

And which fans have higher expectations and will troll more relentlessly? UK isn’t expected to win the East. GA is expected to be a playoff team. If Gran has thin skin, good luck to him with GA fans.

    3. meeksfor3

Yeah I can think of 1.1 million reasons of why he leaves besides the fans.

  23. jytruebluefan

I really hope Stoops counters with actual full control of the offense so we can see an explosive offense. I really do believe Stoops has held him back these past few years and hopefully will give Gran a good counter. I know our AD won’t be afraid to write bigger checks!

  24. meeksfor3

According to a UGA fan on Cats Illustrated the UGA people are saying this isn’t true.

    1. notFromhere

Oh, then it must not be true. Message boards and all

  25. walden

He should be given complete control of the offense at UK. I hope he stays but the future is bright at Kentucky. If he leaves for UGA no one would fault him, but if he stays at UK and gets another 9+ win season (which should happen) I can see him getting head coach offers next year around this time.

  26. bwise

17 pts a game against sec opponents….SEVENTEEN!!!! Bye you bum! Please leave!!!! We will hire lex cath weight lifting coach as our OC and get more outta him.

    1. bwise

Forgot to mention. WITH THE GREATEST UK RUNNING BACK EVER

    2. henderblue

      Here’s one them RCF.^^^An f-tard. ?

  27. davis2319

1.1 mil… that’s a lot of money. We’ll see if UK pony’s up and counters their offer. If not, it’s been real Eddie Gran.

  28. bankerbh

Kentucky won in spite of him and at times we lost because of him. Let him become Georgia’s headache and let Ky move on. We need an OC who is going to be able to regroup without the services of Benny Snell while having a quarterback who needs a lot of growth. Benny seemed to mask the quarterback play but new leadership is needed for OC; otherwise, it will look like 2017 and prior years.

    1. QueendaleCat

While I definitely agree that the offense in general and playcalling in particular sucked this season, especially in sec play, I hate to lay all the blame on Gran. Stoops is kinda notorious for putting cuffs on his OC and playcallers. It’s the reason Neal Brown left so quickly. Stoops wouldn’t let him take the reins off the offense. Hell he had him running jo jo Kemp in the wildcat most of the time for goodness sake. I’d just like to see an OC get COMPLETE FULL CONTROL of the offense from stoops just once and see what he can do. Maybe Gran would still suck but I’d like to at least let him have a shot with full control. Jmho

  29. CATandMONKEY

While mediocre by SEC standards; 2017 still better than most years in the last 60 of UK football.

    1. CATandMONKEY

      Reply fail.

  30. loservilletard

PLease take the offer..and good riddance

    1. ClutchCargo

      Your name says it all.

    2. J. Did

Don’t they call city birds – pigeons?

    3. J. Did
    4. henderblue

Lol Clutch…the comment of the day. It was Golden..

    5. loservilletard

damn, Gran came up and saw his shadow, now we get 4 more years of bad play calling at KY

  31. UKfansNKY

Sure hope KSR isn’t feeding us a bunch of BS just to get people on their site as they have been known to do!!!! Coach Gran needs to STAY at KY

    1. J. Did
    2. bigbluebanana

Yeah J. Did, but that article lists MJ as the only source on this. I can’t find anyone or any written thing verifying what MJ is saying. Not saying he’s wrong, but it’d be nice to see more confirmation first.

    5. J. Did

sorry big blue, wrong link but good news.

    6. bigbluebanana

All those links literally cite Matt Jones as the only source! Lol. It’s a moot point now since he’s staying, but I think this story was fabricated entirely by KSR.

    7. J. Did

It was just reported on the news – in GEORGIA – that Eddie Gran is staying at KENTUCKY.

  32. KYCat4EVER

Rumor has it UK and UGA had a little wager on this years game…

UK lost, and now we owe UGA a “GRAN”… ?

    1. StillBP

Stick to your day job… If you have one.
