Could Derrick Baity already have a new home?
After being released by the Houston Texans less than two weeks ago, the former Kentucky cornerback has already made his way back onto another NFL field… Or at least an NFL practice field. Baity was one of 12 players who worked out for the New York Giants this week, according to ESPN reporter Jordan Raanan.
Giants had a busy 12-player workout prior to Week 2:
DB Derrick Baity
LB Reshard Cliett
WR Jamal Custis
RB Josh Ferguson
WR Trenton Irwin
DT P.J. Johnson
LB Latroy Lewis
DB Picasso Nelson
DE Carroll Phillips
QB Jordan Ta’amu
RB Austin Walter
DE Kevin Williams

Could Baity be back in a blue uniform in the near future?
While things didn’t work out for Baity in Houston, things seem to be going well for another Wildcat-turned-Texan: Lonnie Johnson. Houston recently released Aaron Colvin, which opens up a potential cornerback spot for Johnson.
Sources: In the wake of last night’s loss, the #Texans are releasing veteran CB Aaron Colvin, just over a year into a 4-year, $34M contract. He gets his $7.5M for 2019, which was guaranteed.

Here’s hoping even more former Cats earn places on NFL rosters throughout the ongoing season.
