Dan Mullen calls Kentucky a “very dangerous team”

(TampaBay.com)

Dan Mullen was interviewed by the media following his #1 team’s victory over Kentucky yesterday afternoon. After a hard fought game, Mullen had nothing but high praise to dish out to both Mark Stoops and his Kentucky team. Mullen even mentioned that “I don’t know if people are giving Mark Stoops enough credit for what he’s doing here with this outfit and what type of team Kentucky is.”

Mullen went on to give further praise to the Cats:

“They’ve played us tough in the past. I’ll tell you something, I think that was two very good football teams out there on the field today. You watch that team, the plays they’re able to make, the players they have, the quarterback and some of the throws he made, runs after the catch and stuff like that. They’re a very dangerous team. I think you’re going to see that team and Mark Stoops continue to grow with the program. I wouldn’t be surprised to see them have a fantastic rest of the year and land a great bowl game this year.”

That’s pretty high praise coming from the coach of the #1 team in the country.

I’ve always liked Dan Mullen but I like him better now. Kentucky competed better with MSU than any other SEC opponent so far. I hope they go ahead and win it all.

ksr sure is a much nicer, more pc forum now that all the nasty disagreeable commenters from other fan bases have been shut out. there doesn’t seem to be many posters on here anymore, but it sure is much nicer.

Dan Mullen is a class act. Miss. St. is lucky to have such a great coach, and I’ll be pulling for them to win the national championship this year.

As others have pointed out, Mullen seems like an extremely gracious and likable guy. I just hope he never goes back to Florida, because then I would have to root against him. As it stands, he’s greatly improved my thoughts on Mississippi State. Not that I really cared about them before, but now I’ll probably generally find myself cheering them on.
