CJ Conrad in a boot and other injury updates

Today’s game left several Cats dinged up, most notably CJ Conrad. The junior tight end injured his foot in the third quarter and, after going to the locker room for x-rays, returned to the sidelines in a boot with crutches. After the game, Stoops said he wasn’t sure whether or not it was broken.

In other injury news, Mike Edwards left the game with a hip pointer, but returned. Quinton Bohanna also went to the locker room with an ankle injury and was out the rest of the game. Stephen Johnson took a beating throughout the game and got whiplash after getting body-slammed on this play:

How is that not roughing the passer? That’s the dictionary definition of excessive. Regardless, because Stephen is one tough dude, he finished the game.

Heal up, guys. Louisville’s coming.

I really hope the SEC does a review of this a suspends the official. It was blatant and obvious.

I was livid about this. Also a few plays after SJ got called for a weak unsportsmanlike, SJ was on the ground after a tackle, and a UGA player shoved his head into the ground. But no call.

The play in question was ruled a fumble right? At least thats what the announcers say in that clip. So even if it was rough on SJ, it can’t be roughing the passer. Just an objective thought

Not roughing. Unsportsmanlike. It was a suplex.
