Water is wet, Kentucky leads nation in basketball attendance again

Need further proof Kentucky fans are the best in college basketball? For the 19th time in the last 22 seasons, Kentucky led the nation in attendance. Last season, an average of 23,461 fans attended Kentucky’s games in Rupp Arena, the most of any program in the country.

In total, 398,850 fans came to Kentucky’s 17 home games, which was second only to Syracuse, which had 444,809 fans over 21 games. Only only three schools in the country had more than 300,000 fans attend its home games last season (Syracuse, Kentucky, and Louisville).

Blue got in on the road as well. A total of 706,331 fans came to Kentucky’s home, road, and neutral site games last season, the most of any team in the country. North Carolina came in second (700,038) and Syracuse third (611,607). Take that, Tar Heels!
