West Va at home in Big12 challenge?

    1. BlakeBlueNation

Nah I’d say it would probably be Texas Tech or Kansas

    2. FlatTopsAndBlockedShots

      It’ll be West Virginia.

Only 1 marquee non-conf matchup in Rupp, which might explain why home attendance has been down and why big money donors have complained about ticket prices. A home schedule full of cupcakes is pathetic. Asking fans to spend $$$$ on travel & tix to see the big games is also a perilous business model.

      We still travel.

Sign of the times, many big schools want to do neutral site games and not home and home anymore.

It’s not really new, although the number of them in 1 year may be. People complained about this when Pitino was at UK too. He wanted to play Duke or Syracuse in The Meadowlands to help recruiting in New York.

And I remember a fan calling his radio show and saying we needed to play KU home and home and he said “Why?” His opinion was if it didn’t help recruiting, nope. Going to Lawrence didn’t help us in his mind. I’m not saying he was right or wrong, but that was his philosophy.

Having said that, I understand for the home fans that bringing in big time opponents at home is great. Bama fans sometimes complain about playing what I call glorified D2 schools in football in T-town and only playing the our of conference big boys in Jerry World or the ATL.

When do Champion’s Classic tickets go on sale??

    1. FlatTopsAndBlockedShots

Unfortunately the wait will be a while. Last year they released tickets for lower level (non student) 3-4 weeks before the event. The student website may have them up to 2 months before the game.

Do we get another go at UCLA or is that series over?

  7. RajonTheDon9

Why did we skip over Ohio State in the CBS classic thingy?

  8. Rockinron

How soon will we know the Bahama dates? I need to be there.
