The Big Blue Nation is beginning to catch the fever.

Thursday marks the first full day of SEC Tournament action. Kentucky has never played on this day in the John Calipari era, giving fans UK fans an opportunity to four stress-free games from Bridgestone Arena.  We’ll find out who the Cats will play in the first round tonight at 7:00.  Today’s complete schedule you can see on the SEC Network:

  • 1:00: Arkansas vs. Florida
  • 3:30: Missouri vs. #22 Auburn
  • 7:00: Alabama vs. Ole Miss
  • 9:30: Texas A&M vs. Miss. State

Waiting for the Cats to play is no fun, unless you’re on Broadway.  If you can’t figure out where to take the party, Mrs. Tyler will take care of you.

Today’s Marquee Matchups

We all want to know who the Cats will play tomorrow, but let’s face it, Alabama-Ole Miss isn’t the best game of the day. Indiana will fight to stay on the bubble at 12:30, and Louisville will try to knock of North Carolina before we see if Zion will in fact return to action.

  • 12:30: Indiana vs. Ohio State on BTN
  • 2:30: #16 Virginia Tech vs. #12 Florida State on ACC
  • 2:30: TCU vs. Kansas State on ESPN2
  • 7:00: Louisville vs. #3 North Carolina on ESPN
  • 7:00: St. John’s vs. #23 Marquette on FS1
  • 9:30: Syracuse vs. #3 Duke on ESPN
  • 9:30: Texas vs. #17 Kansas on ESPN2

Hear from Coach Cal

The Kentucky head coach will hold his final media opportunity after he knows who the Cats will play.  KSR will be there for Cal’s conversation around 9:30 ET to hear his final Reid Travis update before the forward hopefully takes the floor.

Timber!

Nebraska’s Tim Miles picked an interesting way to celebrate a win over Rutgers.

New Podcasts

KSR has a pair of podcasts that will prepare you for the biggest games of Championship Week.  Aaron Torres runs through all of the major college basketball conference tournaments, while Matt and Drew explain the easiest ways to make money betting the games on Free Money.  There’s also one more podcast surprise you’ll find on your KSR Podcast feed a little later this morning.

Girls’ Sweet 16 Continues

The basketball action isn’t limited to conference tournaments.  The KHSAA Girls’ Sweet 16 is playing at Rupp Arena for the first time. Last night Mercy lost a one-point heartbreaker 65-64 to George Rogers Clark in the first round of the tournament.  Owensboro Catholic defeated Bethlehem 53-47, Ryle romped Murray and Scott County took down Knott County Central.  Here’s who’s playing today:

  • 12:00: Pikeville vs. Barren County
  • 1:30: Male vs. Boyd County
  • 6:30: Collins vs. Southwestern
  • 8:00: North Laurel vs. Henderson County

Are any of my fellow ksr comment section people here in big blue Nashville? I am here representing the blue. I just got done eating my continental breakfast here at the hotel. I love those fancy waffle makers they got. Be sure and look for me, I’m decked out in blue, as well as many others around here. But what sets me apart is my custom “make bbn great again” hat. I love my team. C-A-T-S, CATS, CATS, CATS.

Which hotel you at? I’ll meet you tonight and we can go get some drinks.

    2. 4everUKblue

Probably should check the nurseries, I seriously doubt this person has the brain power to get a hotel room without his parents.

    3. cats646

In that case, how hot is your mom wnp? I’ll take her out for drinks. You’ll have to manage one night in a hotel room by yourself though little buddy cause momma will be sleeping in my room tonight.

    4. 4everUKblue

Lol, be sure to use safe practices 646.

    5. StillBP

646 I second what 4ever said…be safe…we don’t need another littleweeniepitino running around in the world

Hey cats646 sorry for the delay in getting back with you. Well after my delicious continental breakfast my morning went south. For one thing I woke up with these bad rashes and they were real itchy. So anyway I got to thinking maybe I should check my room. Well when I did you can only imagine the horror that I found. I should have listened to my mother, she told me not to stay here and that the reviews were awful. And not to mention poor ol blue. My old 84 dodge d100 in the parking lot last night was tampered with a tad. Someone took what looks like a sharpie and marked out “make bbn great again” on my custom license plate and wrote their what I can only assume is their favorite team over top of it. Let me try and get all this tended to and I’ll get back with you later. Thanks for the hospitality cats646, true blue fans really are the best. I can only hope no one tries to Rip my hat off my head thinking that I might be a fan of a particular president. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again GO CATS!!

I’m sorry about your bad morning wnp. But that doesn’t answer my question about your mother.

    8. 4everUKblue

646 his mother may not make to your room until her shift on the stripper pole is over.

    9. weneedpitino
