Kentucky and Duke will open the college basketball season at the Champions Classic in Indianapolis this coming season.
The Blue Devils have each of the top three recruits in the class of 2018, along with the No. 1 point guard in the nation. The Wildcats hold one of the top recruiting classes and are in position with two more elite five-star prospects to close out the class. Most importantly, they have an opportunity to bring back a ridiculous amount of talented veteran leadership.
When all said and done, it’s possible Kentucky and Duke are the top-two teams in the preseason rankings.
College basketball fans wanted a major event to tip-off the season, and they’re going to get one.
I talked to Duke signees Cam Reddish and Tre Jones about the big rivalry between the Cats and the Devils, the upcoming Champions Classic, and their thoughts on the Kentucky program and their players competing in the Jordan game.
Tyler Herro and Keldon Johnson couldn’t help but talk about winning the first friendly competition between the schools.
