University of Kentucky Basketball, Football, and Recruiting news brought to you in the most ridiculous manner possible.

North Carolina is pursuing Sacha Killeya-Jones

Sacha Killeya-Jones could find a new home in Chapel Hill.  According to Rivals’ Clint Jackson, the Tar Heels are actively recruiting the soon-to-be former Kentucky center.

A five-star McDonald’s All-American, Killeya-Jones originally committed to Virginia before flipping to Kentucky.  He spent a few years playing prep ball in Virginia, but considers Chapel Hill his home.

Kentucky will face North Carolina at the United Center in the 2018 CBS Sports Classic.  If Killeya-Jones does decide to transfer to North Carolina, he will sidelined for that game (and the entire 2018 season).

And Loserville. Although that would be funny since he did the Ls down pic.

    3. KYcats11

True. I just left them at because I figured he was pursuing options close to home.

He got so screwed out of PT this year that I kind of hope he does bite us in the ass in a game. Not a lose and go home Tourney game (lol), but if he does haunt us Cal fully deserves it.

    Can’t stand ole Huckleberry Hound…. Roy Bill$.

I want Sacha to do good but I would hate to see that happen at n.c or Dook but I feel where ever it is he is going to show he should have getting more playing time even starting over Richards.

    Add insult to injury.

Lol classic nick, never does any research and just posts whatever he sees in Twitter. We don’t play UNC next year, we play Ohio State. Play UNC in 2019 when Sasha would be eligible.

So, are we playing Puke, UNCheat, and UofHell next year; might as well join the Atlantic Cheaters Conference?

  6. wildcat2012

Never mind. Thought we play OSU. I suck

    1. Booby Petrino

Lol I should have looked one comment down

  7. BlueDeuce

UNC, as much as I hate to say it, would be a good fit. Talent there typically takes 2 or 3 years to rise to the top.

  8. Catcasey1

Why does it matter where he goes I think he has the right to play for anybody he wants to and u can cheer for him to do good not the team he plays for

    1. runningunnin.454

Yep, did that with Charles Matthews at Michigan.

  9. Jiminy Crickets

Look at the tea leaves, he lists chapel hill as his home on twitter. Where else would he go?

    1. Jiminy Crickets

Before all the haters post a ton of crap about all his options. Look back at the day KSR posted his transfer news, where I stated numerous times, if he goes anywhere but UNC I’d be shocked

      We all admire your expertise..

Taking this route and sitting a year, he would’ve been better off taking a red shirt at UK, practicing daily against high level competition, and developing here. He is still young and I doubt he’ll be more than a 12-15 minute guy at any high major. Best to him though, thought he had potential if he bulked up a little and stuck with it. Plus he’s a class kid.

    1. callitlikeiseeit

He tried that for 2 years. Plus we did not have high level players for him to compete against last season.

    High Point? Tubby?
Close to home, would get a ton of clock, could make a name for himself as a big fish in a small pond.

  12. DerBaron

Can’t blame him. UNC is such a pillar of academia ?

  13. CatesDuncan

    We play OSU I think

I’m never a fan of transferring to a rival, but that’s really between fans, most of the time. He’s got to take care of himself. Though if he goes to UNC, he shouldn’t expect any UK fans to root for him.

I would hate to seem him affiliated with North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He seems like a class act. That institution is a fraud and a cheater. They will forever have the cloud of the biggest cheater of all time, regardless of the fact they skated. He could always go to NC State or Wake Forest very close by. I would hate for him to carry the Cheater Stain on him for the rest of his career plus get a degree that is questionable for everybody but that those that live in the Baby Blue Narsisistic Bubble

  16. BigBlue4EverUK

Had a feeling he would go to N.C back home

UK should have put restrictions….no Duke, North Carolina, Kansas, Michigan State or anyone we have on schedule next two years.

    1. pancakesfordinner

Why would they restrict him. He’s a good kid, but didn’t play that well. If you start putting restrictions, kids on the fence may not commit to Kentucky in the first place. He’s not that reliable, so I’m sure if he’s playing for UNC and we play them, he’ll crumble like it did for us. I don’t really fear his 2.3 points a game in another uniform.

If he winds up at UNC, it would confirm my suspicion that he couldn’t handle school+bball, and wanted to go somewhere that was “soft” on academics.

    1. TBW3011

What he couldn’t handle was watching players he was better than play ahead of him.
