LOOK: John Wall speaks to Kentucky following 69-62 victory over Michigan State

Following Kentucky’s impressive 69-62 victory over Michigan State to open the season, a familiar face entered the UK locker room to speak with the Wildcats.

Former Kentucky superstar point guard John Wall decided to give a few words of advice to the Wildcats, saying this team “can be special.”

“Take advantage of this, this goes by quick,” Wall said, via the UK Sports Network. “You can be special. Just keep working.”

John Calipari was appreciative of his former Wildcat coming in and talking to his current players after the game:

Throughout the game, Wall cheered on the Wildcats from the sideline, hyping up the crowd every chance he got.

The former Kentucky guard also showed love to 2021 No. 1 prospect and UK target Jonathan Kuminga, who was in attendance watching the Wildcats in action.

Not a bad player to have on your side if you’re John Calipari and the UK coaching staff…

I love John Wall! He made UK cool again, and he has done more for the UK program than any player in the Calipari era.
