I randomly thought about the Tyler Ulis pregame comment this morning. Like….didn’t we steal him from Mich. State at the very last minute? Lol!

    1. JPhelps

      Yeah, we missed on Mudiay.

I respect the hell out of coach K, Ol Roy, and Bill Self as coaches, but I don’t like them a bit. I respect, and really like Izzo. He’s good people.

I still have reservations from the sexual assault scandal for me to fully endorse respecting him. I’ll just say I hope he is telling the truth in all of that.

    2. nocode96

You bring up a very solid point that I completely overlooked when making my last statement. I hope he’s being truthful as well.

    3. ClutchCargo

      Same here, RR.

I feel the same way. Some people you can see right away that they are real, genuine, down to earth. There is nothing more difficult for me to tolerate than someone who has no sense of humor and takes themselves too seriously.

You mean like mashbum, the liar?

  3. ibescootch

But would Tom Izzo poop in the Alaskan woods, and feel good about it? I don’t think so.

  4. Larkin123

    Izzo walks with three legs….

  5. RealCatsFan

I didn’t think he meant they would go outside to duke it out, I thought it was more like, “let’s get the hell away from this bad basketball and grab a beer.”

    1. 4everUKBlue

That’s how I took it too.

    2. Thetruthshallsetbennyfree

Actually Izzo did add in there something about just hanging out but of course it was removed to completely destroy the context.

    3. Big Sexy

Yes, that’s what he was saying.

  6. KYjellyRoll

These guys respect one another for sure. Two of my favs in the coaching world

  7. makeitstop

I agree – it was let’s go grab a drink and let ‘em play. There’s an Opry near Times Square not more than 5 minutes, they’d feel right at home. Well, Cal would.

    1. makeitstop

Actually Mrs T would too – Nashville goes to the Big Apple. If ur at MSG it’s a little slice of “home” close by.

  8. terwilliger

Fail to see how this was “really awkward”. TT with the hyperbole again

  9. terwilliger

And yes, TT completely misinterpreted what Izzo said.
