Kentucky still in the top 10 of the AP poll

After a nine-point win over Harvard, Kentucky dropped a spot to No. 8 in the latest AP poll. Not surprisingly, Duke is the unanimous No. 1 team, followed by Kansas and Michigan State. Florida and Texas A&M are both ranked higher than the Cats, coming in at No. 5 and No. 7, respectively. Kentucky stayed at No. 7 in the Coaches Poll.

Here are both polls side-by-side for your comparison:

Because of Kentucky’s extreme youth, it seems that the polls really have no idea what to do with us this year.

They sure knew what to do with UL.

      LOL! Yes, they certainly did.

Like the old saying goes “what comes up must come down.” That applies to UL’s ranking and their banner hopefully.

Louisville will not be in the top 25 again for a few years. That’s for sure. They barely had any fans at the game yesterday. They know they are done.

It is tough to go from unranked to a good seed in the NCAA tourney. If uofl makes the tourney, they are looking at a 7-8 seed. A few more bad losses and they are NIT material. UK needs to stay in the top 12 teams to ensure a decent seed in the tourney.

Well if we take care of business this weekend we will be ranked higher next poll with Florida losing last night to Florida St. Lastnight. And that game was on home court for Florida
