Kentucky Opens as 4.5-Point Favorites over Georgia

Only hours after the Wildcats discovered who they would play in the SEC Tournament quarterfinals, Vegas oddsmakers proclaimed Kentucky the favorite.

Georgia is a 4.5-point underdawg tomorrow afternoon against Kentucky.  It will be the 12-seed’s third game in three days.  The two teams also met in last year’s SEC Tournament.  Kentucky won 71-60 in the quarterfinals on their way to a third consecutive SEC Tournament title.

Tip-off is set for tomorrow at approximately 3:30 ET on the SEC Network.

Good time to get SKG and Nick some valuable minutes. We need them at their best to make a run in the NCAA.

This game is a natural setup for a Georgia upset. They beat Missouri yesterday while our guys sat and watched. Maten is playing well. Our most recent game was one of our poorest performances of the year, and now JV can’t play. When we played them in RA on Dec. 31, we won 66-61. Now we draw them in a neutral floor. All of these reasons will set us up for a flat performance against Georgia. So if the Cats play hard and make it through this game without JV, that would be a sign of team maturation.

I agree with that. But I’m hoping last game was just an outlier due to a tough road environment. We had played well before that. Hopefully they get the win today.
