Lost to Dook, and they’re behind us; beat UNCheat, and they’re ahead of us, ha ha.
Gonzaga doesn’t play anybody, and Virginia almost lost to UL on their home floor.

    1. 4everUKblue

They did beat dUKe with a full healthy roster, with Zion, Jones and RJ all having good games

    2. 4everUKblue

The only starter to not score in double digits was Marques Bolden, who put up an astounding 6 points while grabbing 5 rebounds.

    3. runningunnin.454

True, but they lost to Tennessee and North Carolina. They are good; but, once they get to No. 1, they’re going to stay there because their conference is basically a lot of Div II teams.

    4. 4everUKblue

They are a veteran team, which could be a problem for dUKe, I’d like to see them face off again on the opposite side of our brackets, but we know that will never happen.

UNC never beat Duke with a full healthy roster? Zion didnt play last game, and only played like a min in the first one.

Rankings are like your ex-girlfriend saying how hot you were.

Good one Dustin..or, the rankings are like possum hunting on a moonless night..dogs flash your light up..see those eyes shining back and you fire your gun..critter falls to the rush over to find out you just your grandma’s favorite cat..rankings rarely lets you know who’s really at the top

    2. Ridge Runner

I can relate better to the possum example.

I personally think it sucks that we might get Duke as our two seed. A healthy Duke is probably the best team in the country and we will end up with them as our two seed.

    1. StillBP

Bring em on. You want to be the best, then beat the “best”.

    2. bigbluebanana

      Seconded BP

    3. BigolBlue

Dumb statement as usual from stillbpcatsrunninjdubbananaboy

Even though as it stands now, it looks like Duke would be our two seed in the south, I’m not totally convinced it happens. K would absolutely throw a fit if he had to play UK in Kentucky. I mean he didn’t want to play in Lexington in a previous tourney game when it wasn’t even against UK.

Not sure they will do that to the beloved Coach K.

    1. runningunnin.454

It won’t happen; K would whine, cry, and pee down his leg.

dUKe played at Rupp in 1998 in the NCAA tournament for the 1st/2nd round. Rupp hosted next in 2002 – Duke had a 1-seed and played 1st/2nd round in South Carolina, before losing to IU in the Sweet 16 AT RUPP. Rupp had 1st/2nd round again in 2007 (Duke was a 6-seed and played in Buffalo). Most recent was 2013 when Rupp again had 1st/2nd round (Duke had a 2-seed, played 1st/2nd round in Philadelphia and lost to UL in Indy in the regional final).

It seems that the selection committee has no problem putting Duke in Lexington.

      Facts are optional here sir!

    4. ClutchCargo

Reading is also optional, apparently. The comment was that Coach K didn’t want to play in Lexington (I have no idea if that is true), not that it hasn’t happened. And none of those examples involved games vs. UK in Louisville.

So….is KSR just going to ignore Sean Miller’s “fairwell speech” last night?

    2. bigbluebanana

      Saw that too, very interesting.

  6. BigolBlue

I bet the Duke fans love this. Behind a team that they destroyed.
