Kansas opens as a 2.5 point favorite against UK

The good people out in Las Vegas have set the line for tomorrow night’s Kentucky-Kansas game and they see the Jayhawks as a 2.5 point favorite against the Wildcats. The line opened at that number Monday afternoon, but I think it will soon move once the bets start coming in.

What do you think about it, Big Blue Nation? Is 2.5 points enough or should it be more?

If you’re so inclined to bet on UK games, I’d take Kansas to cover and already have the money spent.

    Hope I’m wrong.

KU by 10+. Not being a troll. I just believe what Calipari is saying.

By far the worst group in regards to defense I’ve seen from Cal era. Love the CATS but this group is a long way from ready. KU by 10+

If it’s a one-possession game at the end, that means we have a shot to win. I hope Vegas is right, but I see this line swinging to 4-4.5 by tipoff tomorrow. Going to be a tough one for our boys. Kansas to cover as-is.

Unless something magic happens I don’t see this group being ready yet
They are going to have to figure out how to get the ball in the hoop, it
could be as bad as KU by 25 or 2.5, depends on who shows up

Head tells me to go with KU, heart tells me to go with UK.

Really surprised by the line. I would have thought it would have been quite a bit larger. I do expect the players attention should be energized playing Kansas, so maybe that is the driver.

Somebody will need to pull and Alex Poythress vs Duke in 2012 for us to have a chance.

I just hope we don’t get embarrassed but I’m thinkin Kansas by 20.
At least it’s the late game so when it goes to s**t I can just go to bed.

  13. BlueHeaven

KU by 12.5 at the final buzzer but up by 17 at the half.

I love the cats and I love this team, but we might lose this game by 30. Kansas is a much more experience and talented team at this stage in the season. I really hope I’m wrong, but I don’t have high expectations for this game.

I love my cats, but that’s free money if you bet on Kansas. We are simply not ready for a team like this so early in the season

Why is everyone acting like Kansas is this veteran dominating squad? They have a bunch of transfers and some young guys. A couple returning role players and were just going to assume we are losing by 10? We have some great basketball minded fans and some negative no nothing fans who jump off bridges because teams cant meet their crazy ridiculous expectations of perfection. “We might lose by 30 to a team i know nothing about it” let the games play out. And most importantly let our guys figure it out before we start making predictions.

Did you watch the first 2 games? If you recall 3-4 years ago we beat Kansa by 30, I’m sure Bill Self hasn’t forgotten, and will want revenge.
