HALF: Kentucky 41, Troy 25


After Friday’s alarming first half vs. ETSU, it was good to see the Cats handle an opponent easily from the start. After 20 minutes of play, Kentucky leads Troy 41-25.

Eight Cats scored, led by Wenyen Gabriel with eight points and Kevin Knox with seven. Even better, Hamidou Diallo has a team-high seven rebounds, a promising stat that earned him some praise from John Calipari at halftime. After some criticism about his performance in the first four games, Nick Richards even got off to a hot start, grabbing four rebounds in the opening minutes of the game.

All that being said, Kentucky had a pretty long scoring drought towards the end of the half and, for some reason, Brad Calipari went in at the 10-minute mark. Did Cal forget to tell Ellen the team was coming over for Thanksgiving or something?
