Florida and Auburn are the winners of the Thursday early session

The Thursday early session at the SEC Tournament is over, and the second game was surprisingly entertaining. No. 5 seed Auburn beat No. 12 seed Missouri 81-71, but the Tigers from Columbia put up a fight, hanging around in the second half before Bruce Pearl’s squad delivered the knockout punch. Auburn will face No. 4 seed South Carolina tomorrow afternoon.

In the first game, No. 8 seed Florida beat No. 9 seed Arkansas 66-50 in a game that was just as entertaining as that score would suggest. Florida advances to face the Will Wade-less LSU Tigers tomorrow at 1 p.m. ET.

Here’s the updated bracket:

Coming up in just a few minutes is Alabama vs. Ole Miss, which will decide who plays Kentucky tomorrow night. Following that, we’ll find out which team to cheer for against Tennessee, Texas A&M or Mississippi State.

Of course, you’ll also have reason to flip over to ESPN, as Louisville is playing North Carolina in the ACC Tournament. The Tar Heels are on a roll and right there with Kentucky in the hunt for a one-seed. Go Cards? That just feels wrong.

Speaking of the ACC Tournament, if you missed it earlier, Florida State’s Terrance Mann hit this ridiculous shot to beat Virginia Tech:

Gotta love March. Enjoy the games.
