Calipari in Pennsylvania watching 4-Star Forward

Following Kentucky’s 93-86 win over Virginia Tech, John Calipari made the trip to New Castle, Pennsylvania to watch Kennedy Catholic’s Oscar Tshiebwe. Tshiebwe is a 6’9 Power Forward from Hermitage, PA and a member of the Class of 2019. Hermitage is just east of Youngstown, Ohio.

Calipari is watching Tshiebwe against Sewickley Academy. He is currently still awaiting a possible offer from Kentucky, but does hold offers from West Virginia, Georgetown, Clemson, Oklahoma State and others, but Duke and Virginia have expressed interest recently. Here is a view of Calipari from the game:

Here is a look at Tshiebwe:

Calipari could also show interest in 3-star Kennedy Catholic guard Maceo Austin. The 6’4 member of the class of 2019, Austin just recently picked up an offer from Virginia. Currently 24/7 Sports predicts that both will go to West Virginia, but you can never count Cal out. Here is Austin in action:

Naw,those are good players to bring in..At least they most likely will be in the program for 3-4 years..Still need to get a couple of local guys like a Miller,Hawkins, etc…We do not win The Natty in ’12 w/o Miller..

6’9 kid looks legit, athletic freak, great hands, big body and good rim protector. Givin he’ll grow a couple inches or so by the time he gets to college I believe he’ll be a awesome grab,. Whatever he may lack with ball handling or a jump shot he can always learn from coach Cal
