If you wear a shirt about it you care

Meanwhile, the players on our team who matter are in a dog fight. If I were him, I would feel totally embarrassed to be drawing attention to what I’m wearing while my teammates were playing through a game like that. But I wouldn’t expect the kid with an “earned not given” tattoo while playing for his dad’s D-1 basketball team to have an ounce of self-awareness. Don’t @ me. I’m heated.

    1. Youngcat25

Dude he’s literally a walk-on at his dad’s school and didn’t really play. Meanwhile Hardaway gave his son a scholarship. Now tell me which one is earned and not given?

    2. katmandue2you

It’s funny all this serious reaction to all this garbage …on both sides. I still think his teammates woulda thought it hilarious had he responded to being accused of wanting to be black by going blackface at a game.

    3. chardun20

Really? What does what Brad wears have to do with the players on the court?

    4. playmorezeppelin

Show me another redshirt walk-on in the country who spends his time on the bench making fashion statements. If there was one, we would be making fun of him like it’s our job. And rightly so.

    5. terwilliger

      Spot on.

    6. binarysolo

Here’s a tip Zeppelin: Brad’s been dressing this way all season and it didn’t become A Thing until the fartbag over at The Ringer brought it up. It’s literally a non-issue.

There are some clouds out today that need yelling at, why don’t you go tend to that?

    7. bigbluebanana

Always love a good Simpsons reference.

    8. chardun20

Why does someone you barely even see, maybe once or twice during a game make that big of a difference?

    9. Luether

Just another immature, punk move by Cal Jr…

  3. catsarerunnin

I don’t care if he wears a gorilla suit.

  4. Smyrna_Cat

Haters need to stop … but t-shirts aren’t the way to do that. Sorry.

  5. Smyrna_Cat

Bottom line, no one should be hatin’ on Brad. Period.

  6. BigolBlue

He doesn’t care so much that this is all he does is talk about how much he doesn’t care. So in other words he cares a whole lot. Earned not given

    1. catsarerunnin

I don’t care that you think he cares. But I do care that the Cats won again and that you’re all pissy because of it.

    2. 4everUKblue

We can always count on BigolSlaterMedic to show his ignorant azz!

    3. Luether

My sources say it’s given, NOT earned…

  7. eddiesuttonsliver

don’t worry papaws. brad will get off your lawn in a timely fashion.

  8. clarks

    Who cares

  9. MatCauthon

I have to believe that one day when he is older, he will look back and say what the f$#! was i thinking

    1. DelrayCat

    2. catsarerunnin

Or maybe those complaining about it will look back and say why did I care.

    3. satcheluk

Likely not, because if they had half a brain they wouldn’t bring it up in the first place.

  10. justaregulardude

Dude is a walk-on. I guran-damn-tee that anyone complaining about what he’s wearing on the bench has never once complained about any other walk-on’s attire. The only reason you care is bc he’s the coach’s son. Just leave the kid alone.

  11. justaregulardude

@playmorezellin – you’re heated? Over what a walk on wears on the bench? Seriously? You need another hobby.

    1. CatsfaninFL

      And a life

  12. UKLugo

I totally agree. The kid should just shut. Anything he says should be about the work his teammates are doing on the floor. You know, the teammates that were given to him.

  13. UKLugo

And how does his dad let him walk out there with that on?? Sheesh.

  14. j4stone

if he really didn’t care he wouldn’t wear that stupid shirt. shirts like that just feed the haters

  15. CoachCat

He’s not hurting anyone so let him dress how he wants. Safe to say that if this becomes to much of a distraction Cal will handle it.

  16. bigbluebanana

Idk who to blame more for this being a thing; KSR, or all these fans yelling at each other over what a dude is wearing. I suggest you all find out what channel Bravo is on your local tv network and watch sone of their programming if you’re really, really wanting to get heated over what some 21 yo dude wears.

UK just had a gutsy win in a tough environment on the road in the SEC for our 10th straight victory, and we covered the spread. Yet somehow…this is what we focus on?

    1. bigblue2284

It’s not about what he wears it’s about him crying over people making fun of what he wears. Maybe instead he should focus on all the stuff he is “given because of his dad. Brad is a typical rich kid with no idea how to take a monical of criticism because people have always kissed his ass.

  17. CATandMONKEY

    Minus the shoes- fine look.
Only commenting because this post is here.

Could not imagine putting in the effort to post a Tweet or FB post- unprovoked, just to hate on the sartorial choice of a red-shirt walk-on.

  18. ukkatzfan

Ky likes the bball players except for the coach’s sons. Sean Sutton, Saul Smith and now Brad Calipari. Nothing but jealousy.

    1. Luether

Ky fans only have problems when it’s given, NOT earned…

  19. ukcamel

Remember the good old days when coach’s son walk-ons just inexplicably took minutes from Wayne Turner? Kids these days!

    1. Matt10

      Good one.

  20. chardun20

It’s sad that grown ups care about what a kid that they don’t even know wears.

  21. 4everUKblue

I guarantee there’s not ONE of us who didn’t look like a geek at some point in our youth. Anyone who says no is in denial.

    1. The Big Lebowski

      Brad is acin’ that! LMAO

      This shit is hilarious.

    2. 4everUKblue

      Bet you did too!

    3. Matt10

4ever, so true. I look back at old photos of crazy crap I wore and am embarrassed. Lol.
That pic of Brad is awful but funny in the same way. My college fraternity banned us wearing turtlenecks as freshman. Not a good look but so what people. Pointless drivel.

  22. UKCatAttack

I root for Brad. I’m happy he’s on our team. I think it’s great how hard he’s worked to be a good basketball player given his lack of natural athleticism. BUT he should stop. He’s coming across as an attention seeker and it’s clear he cares. All of the attention should be on our team. Let’s just play basketball and focus on the kids on the floor who are doing and pretty darn good job winning games.

  23. scwhite9

I think Brad is a great dresser. And, I love his attitude. Great shirt.

PS He, his sisters and mother don’t take squat off of anyone. Good for them.

  24. The Big Lebowski

Why is he jutting his arms forward in that suit?

That is one awkward looking kid.

    1. 4everUKblue

Good thing you’ve always been perfect.

  25. bwise

Who cares? Only ksr and old people who tell young people what to do, because….their old. Move the f on

    1. sprtphan

      Go wipe your nose sonny.

  26. satcheluk

Are the comments about Brads clothing for real or just idiot trolls? This would be funny if it wasn’t so ridiculous.

Only reason he’s even on that bench is his Daddy is coach. He should be a little more humble and wear KY gear like KO’s son.
