I love how Kentucky is the only state that said as much as possible. That guy from USA Today that was on the radio show said Kentucky fans just watch Kentucky. Judging from the map it sure looks like it.
Love it. I always grew up thinking that basketball was by far the most watched sport. Of course that was in the 80′s and 90′s when Jordan was still playing. Later football seemed to become more popular. I am 37 and just now starting to realize how unimportant basketball is to the rest of the country. This really puts things into perspective. Guess you can say i don’t get out of state much.
Florida has a huge game tonight and the state isn’t going to watch basketball at all? That state doesn’t deserve those two championship banners Billy Donovan brought it.
#6 In general terms I think KY fans are pretty well educated in basketball and do watch other teams play. Especially our rivals and teams we will be playing.
Says something about the Mid-West and Mid-South also. Notice that every state bordering Kentucky is almost as nuts (except those fancy-boys in Chicago with better things to do).
I watched Memphis, Baylor and now Texas, none of which can hold UKs basketBALLS, yet all three of these second tier programs have arenas that makes Rupp look like a trailor park.
There was once an ESPN poll on whether or not Kyrie Irving should declare for the draft or return for his sophomore season. Same thing, Kentucky was the only state on the map that said he should go pro. Hilarious
