- Mike Prada, Senior Editor of DC’s Sports Nation blog, says that although Wall’s rookie season with Washington was “really impressive,” the Kentucky point guard was “tremendously underappreciated.” Prada attributed this sentiment to Wall’s injuries, the lack of team talent and the steep learning curve of being a rookie point guard in the NBA. Prada gives our guy a ton of love, and provides a glimpse into the star’s bright future:
“Wall has spent the entire summer serving notice that he is going to make a huge jump whenever basketball returns. His explosiveness is back. His jump shot, which was abysmal last year (Wall shot 30 percent from 16-23 feet, according to basketball stat site HoopData, and many of those were open shots) has shown improvement. With all these new tools in the bag, Wall was prepared to make a major jump this season.”
- Good Football News:
- NFL Cat Wesley Woodyard has the seventh highest tackle total in the league this season.
- The 2012 SEC football schedule will likely have eight conference games, as Mizzou is not expected to join the league until 2013 at the earliest, according to CBS Sports.
- Unrelated to Kentucky, but is there a cooler nickname than “Megatron?”

He had some minor injuries that kept him out of a few games as well that lowered his numbers a bit. Its a big transition for a kid to go from a 90 minute 30 game season to a 180 minute 82 game season.
