[Moderated by Matt Jones, Drew Franklin and Tyler Thompson]
There has been a lot of news today so your notes and podcast had to be pushed back. I’m sorry about that. But now that you know all about Perry Ellis, Archie Goodwin, the Champions Classic, and the LSU game, here is today’s show along with a few notes from the world…
– The basketball team is already going hard in the paint in preparation for its National Championship season. Coach Cal said he worked on the dribble-drive for about two hours after the football game Saturday night and the team went for an hour on both Sunday and Monday. He said the two sessions were “brutal” and he’s happy with all of the pickup games that have been going on at the Craft Center.
– Don’t forget, Champions Classic tickets go on sale on October 6. Don’t miss out.
– Rick Pitino has a blog on RickPitino.com (wonder where he got that idea) and in his most recent entry, Three Stacks referenced The Godfather when talking about Syracuse and Pittsburgh leaving the Big East. Someone should remind him that Louisville did the exact same thing to Conference USA in 2004. I hope he doesn’t threaten to bury the two schools in concrete in some new bridge being built.
– Cryos International, one of the world’s largest sperm depositories not named Karen Sypher, announced that it will no longer take sperm donations from red heads. That means the world better enjoy all of the dual threat UK blogger/high school swim coaches while they last.
– Did anyone watch the fight over the weekend? Floyd Mayweather destroyed Victor Ortiz with a two-punch combo while the ref wasn’t looking. I’m on Mayweather’s side because Ortiz was wearing Kansas Jayhawks shorts. Anyone know why he wore those? I can’t figure it out.
– Our man Rashawn Franklin was at Joker’s Monday football press conference today. He’ll serve up a hot dish of notes and quotes from the presser for you at 5:00. Until then, enjoy today’s podcast where Matt talks about peasants, lords, and serfs. And the football loss, of course. Enjoy…

UK-KU tickets are already on sale through Kansas. UK is probably still trying to sort out how many they’re giving to blue hairs.

Practice can be like 5 hours a week up till bbm then it goes to 20. I think

You’re both wrong, only allowed 2hrs a week. And I’m surprised to see they went so late, game wasnt over until after 10. Also, Ortiz got what he deserved. Someone said he head butted on more than one occasion so, its what you get for bein a bitch an apologizing and lettin your guard down. Not to mention it’s what he gets just for wearin KU trunks.

Ricky Three Stacks and Tommy Turtleneck have brass balls to talk about the character of the U of Pitt. Chancelor.
Chancelor Mark Nordenberg has more respect from around the country than Ramsey, Jurich & Slicky Ricky combined.
The other members of the Big East never has and never will have any respect for the University of Retards.
Neither Tom ( aka Rebecca ) Jurich or 15 Second Rick could get a job with another school in this country. Thus they better worry about themselves and no one else.

3) you are correct. Tickets apparently went onsale 8/22! Surprising no one around here picked up on that. I’m debating buying tickets now (thus sitting on KU side) or waiting on UK to get it figured out??

Noticed 3 stacks mentioned it was his 49th birthday and he was going recruiting on the west coast. That would be 59th birthday (9/18/52). Make sure everybody wishes him a belated Happy B-Day.
Also, I noticed on his blog “His” NBA players:
PLAYERS IN THE NBA
Gary Plummer
Billy Donovan
Rodney Dent
Reggie Hanson
Jamal Mashburn
Walter McCarty
Ron Mercer
Scott Padgett
Nazr Mohammed
Antoine Walker
Jamal Magliore
Wayne Turner
Tony Delk
Derek Anderson
Mark Pope
Rodrick Rhodes
Jeff Sheppard
Reece Gaines
Francisco Garcia
David Padgett
Terrence Williams
Earl Clark
Any of those seem like a stretch to call “His” and “NBA” players?

The music in the background on Pitino’s site is just so special that it gave me a shiver that went all the way down my leg.

It took Pitino’s website 15 freaking seconds to load.
