Possibly the worst-kept secret in the history of secrets is that former Ohio State Buckeye Keith Wells has been spending time at Kentucky’s practices the last several days. The defensive lineman, rated by Rivals as a three-star prospect in the class of 2008, told our Aaron Cordero last night that he’s getting all of his paperwork together for UK to review in hopes of transferring and playing as a hybrid defensive lineman/linebacker for Rick Minter. Wells played sparingly as a freshman before redshirting in 2009. He will have two years of eligibility left.

Had some big offers (Florida, OSU, Notre Dame, etc.) but he was only a 3 star coming out of high school. I know the stars are misleading in football but usually a player is rated higher when he has those kind of offers.

Why only 2 years og eligibility? He only played one at OSU.

9/10 if he played in JUCO in 2010 he’d be able to play right away this coming year

From everything I have read, he will be eligible immediately.

I wanna know why he went unblocked in the entire highlight video. He looks like a monster but I’m sure a lot of people would look that good if they went untouched all season.

It is just swell to get a Buckeye back in Lexington (hardwood or Bermuda, does not matter).
How’d a three star end up in Colon-umbus?
