By now, you’re likely already out and about trying to either get some treats for the kiddoes or at a bar trying to bag Little Miss Bo Peep, not realizing that she’s totally not getting the whole Norman Dale getup. But, you soldier on, just as Norman would, in your quest to make this yet another successful All Hallow’s Eve. But, the trick-or-treating might not end tonight for all of us Kentucky football and basketball fans.
There are several pressing issues facing our Cats in the coming weeks - situtations that (I hate myself for this corny post) could either be a trick or a treat. So, take a little look at a couple of the issues below and discuss in the comment section which might be a treat for Cats fans and which might end up in us all feeling hoodwinked. Again, I’d like to apologize for the corniness of this post.
- The optimism of a new Kentucky offense under Randall Cobb
- The hope that UK lands in a third consecutive bowl game
- Joker Phillips becoming the next head coach
- A new UK basketball offense being captained by Michael Porter
- Matt Pilgrim and his summer of superhuman feats
- Patrick Patterson’s zip code in the summer of 2009

Hopefully this year we don’t make Miss State look like a championship caliber team like we usually do most seasons. as far as Joker as head coach, I am still not sold on the idea but I am open to it. there would be a pluther of bigger name candidates out there that would jump at the chance to coach UK. So I am not sure I like the homer approach. sometimes Joker’s call from the booth mistifies me and as a head coach I just wonder if he would continue his school of thought which I think is a bit conservative. As far as Porter at the point, nope, not sold on that either but lets give it a chance; I guess Billy sees something and I trust the coach. PPats zip in 09 will be 40503. The money will be there in 2010 or 2011; his parents want him to graduate don’t they? Please not another music city bowl. Lets go for Atlanta and the Peach bowl; no tornadoes please!!! One question: what do dentists give out on Halloween? Toothbrushes??

I’m about to go close out the fiscal year of some ex-secretary from Lehman who thinks she’s clever by dressing up as slutty Erin Callan. It’s been a rough fiscal year on both of them and I plan to end it that way as well.

Halloween means its time for scary things.
What if Scott Rigot were the head coach of UK basketball? That’s pretty scary.
What if Matt Jones and the KSR crowd had a television show? That’s enough to make me queasy.

One thing I have learned is TO NEVER TRUST A WORD OF WHAT IS SAID ABOUT HOW GUYS PLAY DURING THE OFFSEASON OR DURING PRACTICE.
I saw Pilgrim with my own eyes and can tell you he is FO REALZ. I’m not saying give him the ball and let him run the offense, but BCG would never do that.

- The hope that UK lands in a third consecutive bowl game - We will be in a 3rd bowl (Music City Bowl… that is
but a bowls a bowl).
- Joker Phillips becoming the next head coach - We’re fine. He can recruit at UK period.
- A new UK basketball offense being captained by Michael Porter - Porter is a bridge to Liggins by mid-January.
- Patrick Patterson’s zip code in the summer of 2009 - PPat returns in 2009-2010 as he’s realize with Liggins a Soph and comfortable at PG, Orton coming in to start at Center we’re decked for a Banner.
