In their first game since returning from the All-Star hiatus, the Houston Rockets beat the Detroit Pistons thanks to a big night from KSR’s most athletically gifted commenter. Former Cat Patrick Patterson busted out in a big way in the Motor City, registering 20 points and 5 rebounds in only 22 minutes of action. Patterson’s performance was particulary impressive considering he played the entire fourth quarter of a close game, keeping Chuck Hayes and Luis Scola on the bench, and strung together seven-straight points and turned a one-point deficit into a six-point lead and put the Pistons away for good. It was a fantastic start to a second half of the season that could see a significant bump in playing time for the Wildcat legend. And, again, it confirms there’s magic in Rupp.

February 23rd, 2011 at 11:05 am

February 23rd, 2011 at 11:06 am
That made me so happy to watch. Made my day. He’s going to be a really great NBA player.
February 23rd, 2011 at 11:13 am
This warms my heart. (And yes. I’m a female, so don’t think I’m all that weird for saying that.) Makes me so happy to see Patrick doing what he does best. He deserves all the love he can get from fans, teammates and media. He’s definitely a special kid.
February 23rd, 2011 at 11:17 am
What did Tay say? I’m at work and can’t turn up volume.
February 23rd, 2011 at 11:22 am
PPat doesnt look right in red though, I am happy for him though, just wish he was in BLUE in the NBA and not the ugly red color
February 23rd, 2011 at 11:24 am
Love it. Go Patrick!
February 23rd, 2011 at 11:27 am
17 – Tay said something to the effect of “that’s my Kentucky boy”
February 23rd, 2011 at 11:38 am
Way to go, Patrick! We knew you had it in you. Wouldn’t you love to see Tay get traded to Houston? A Rocket front-court of Patrick, Tay, and the shortest center in the NBA – Hayes would be sweet.
February 23rd, 2011 at 11:39 am
Matt Bullock, the guydoing PPat’s interview, has been saying PPat should have been playing all year.
February 23rd, 2011 at 11:39 am
He’s got puppies scent off the bus!! Way to go PPat and a class move by Prince. On a side note, the last game that Rafferty called for UK, did anyone else notice that he said of Knight “He’s got puppies that hump!”?
February 23rd, 2011 at 11:46 am
What impact does this have on Lucas committing?
