Interesting piece by Outside the Lines. Alot of the focus is on Kentucky’s recruiting of young players. Interviews with Vinny Zollo and Billy Gillispie give more insight into the topic. I think a pretty fair story. Doesn’t look bad on Kentucky, and seems like Zollo is a pretty standup guy.

On a complete side note,I also watched the interview with the Perrilloux kid and I have to say that he has to be one of the dumbest and worst spoken college athletes that I have ever seen.

I thought it was fine. My question, going in to the program, was would the mention UF/Rivers? And they did. BCG obviously feels strongly about what he is doing, or else he would have turned down the interview. The only thing that kind of bothered me was the clips of BCG at a kids camp, seemingly trying to imply that he was recruiting 10-12 year olds.
Beyond that, pretty fair. OTL is usually heads and shoulders above some of the other stuff on the WWL.

I think Gillispie be a very fun guy to hang out with and throw down some beers. I never understood why UK Haters always think that our coach drinking is a bad thing.
That just shows that Gillispie (who is a millionaire and head coach of the most important position in college basketball) is still down to earth and a guy you can hang out with.
Gillispie if you are reading this - If you ever want someone to hang out with in a bar and throw done beers, you can give me a call.

OTL was very fair and we should expect that from them. They usually look at issues with as little bias as possible and from both view points.
I thought it made UK look good and I don’t know if it helps us in recruiting (but it sure can’t hurt having UK featured on OTL)
I am surprised when they brought up UF/Rivers they didn’t put a picture/clip of Tim Tebow

#11 don’t quote me but
1) they are free, unless you get them off of ticket master which you pay shipping
2) I think you can pick them up at the ticket office a week a couple of weeks before it starts and then the rest go on ticket master a few days later
I do know people got ripped off on ticket master last year bc the people who logged in early and on time to get tickets didn’t get them and those who logged on like an hour past when they went on sale got the tickets.
So if you can try to get them at the Craft Center, plus you don’t have to pay shipping and handling
