I have heard tonight from two different sources that it is expected that the University of Kentucky will receive a commitment from Tyrone Nash tomorrow. As with all of these things, dont get to worked up. But considering the dates, the end of the visit and other school-related factors, it seems very likely that Kentucky will get their power forward for 06 tomorrow.
And if not, well what are you gonna do?

With him being 17, I guess he needs his parents to agree to a LOI, which, as I understand is binding only from the school’s side ( they are bound to give him a schlorship). Seems like the parents are all for this. Does UK have another summer term, and do you believe he will bwe here for that term? Thanks for any info anyone has.

I’m happy he’s coming, but for Lee or anyone to brag on Tubby because of this signing, I’d waitn before we see him play before declaring him the second-coming of Mashburn.

I’m pretty sure we’re past the point of getting a LOI, I think the deadline is in May. He can (and I hope he will) committ, but it’s nothing more than accepting the scholarship and showing up come the end of August.

Nash is not a PF. He is a taller version of Joe Crawford but with a better knack for rebounding.

The LOI deadline for signing was mid-May and LOI had to be sent in by early June.
A player who comes aboard in mid-summer signs SEC grant-in-aid (scholarship) papers that are binding on UK and the player cannot attend any other SEC school. Such players are free to attend a non-SEC school or even a 5th year prep school (or JuCo).
