In news that is amazingly sad for all of those that were hoping for the miracle return of the big fella, it was announced today that Shagari Alleyne will be transferring to Manhattan University as the “Player to be Named Later” in the Heshimu Evans trade of the late 90s. It is expected that Shaggy will join the Jaspers and become a player that immediately leads the team in blocks and absurdity, all the while putting together a staggering four rebounds a game. We wish the big fella a lot of luck. University of Manhattan classrooms get ready….you may not be able to keep him out at night!!!!

I think it is derived from an old-English word meaning, “amazingly
round-shaped head”. I think it appears in Beowulf as a
description of Grendel.

I only wish the big guy “good luck”. Had he been more dedicated, I believe he could have made us an excellent player in certain situations ( like guarding Bogut 2 years ago). Maybe he will gwet lots of time his senior year and develop enough to have a future in the game overseas, maybe.
