Some big changes at 93.9 The Ticket that I am very excited about. Beginning Monday August 4th, I will be moving to 6 pm and will be doing the 6-8 pm show nightly with the Courier Journal’s Jody Demling and Trevor Kelsey from “LYes Report.” I am very excited about the move for a number of reasons, most importantly the chance to move to an earlier time slot and get to produce the BEST recruiting show imaginable in this area with Jody. We still will be focused heavily on the Cats and will do all the things we have done before (including appearances by your favorite guests), but now we are in a better slot and will have more information.
The other changes are below. I think the station has taken a big jump in quality and I am very excited about the future.
6-8 a.m.: Dave and Scott in the Morning (Dave Ragone and Scott Padgett)
8-10 a.m.: The Bob and Will Show (Valvano and Wolford)
10-1 p.m.: The Herd (Colin Cowherd)
1-3 p.m.: The Front Row Ticket (Bozich and McCrite)
3-6 p.m.: The Freak Show (John Renshaw)
6-9 p.m.: SportsNight (Jody Demling, Matt Jones and Trevor Kelsey)
9-11 p.m.: The Pulse (Doug Gottlieb)

Geez Colin sucks they need to just take him off, great switch I always wondered why Mccrite wasn’t qith Bozich that makes sense, and Demling being a great recruiter will JOnes is perfect.

Will the streaming be up and ready to roll day 1? I listen to Bomani here locally in Raleig-Durham when he’s on, and naturally woul shift to your show on the net.

I’ve always found The Herd refreshingly honest. Yeah he toots his own horn a little more than necessary, but he’s usually pretty funny when doing so.

Thank goodness they had the good sense to move you up to the 6pm time slot. The “Big EZ” show was terrible. And Bob and Will are terrible too, why is 93.9 picking them up? I’m guessing the national shows (Mike & Mike and Dan Patrick) will still be available on 1450am?

#5….yes the national shows will still be there…and give Bob and Will a chance…I think they are very good. EZ is doing a great job with Bozich
As for streaming, we hope it will be rolling on Day 1…I will let you know

Are you serious? Bob Valvano, Rick Bozich, the Big Fat EZ, the Idiot - I mean Freak, Doug Gottlieb. If that lineup doesn’t suck Big Time, I don’t know what does. With all due respect to Matt’s show, of course.

Renshaw is absolutely the worst on there. He’s like the sports version of Peter B from 99.7.. exccept Renshaw thinks its still cool to brag about how much you drink when your 40..God I hate him.

dave and scott are good, colin is a douche, bozich and demling are good, i like them together though. the freakshow’s rapid fire is hilarious, fat ez face mccrite is terrible, i always thought jones got hosed with the 8-9 slot, so that is good.

That tool, Dave “Buzz” Baker, used to come down to ol’ McAllister Auditiorium and play 3-on-3 basketball at Transy back in the day when I went to school there. Many downtown businessmen, judges, and civic leaders would play during luch. Buzz was a cheating, crying, ball-hogging, foul mouthed nasty fat man who showed all the worst qualities in a person. Living his hoop dream I reckon? At first I figured it was the Georgetown College in him, but having been there and met the folks there I came to find that he is just an a’ hole. There wasn’t a day when I would go visit coach between classes and his loud mouth could be heard pissing and moaning over this or that. I don’t see how those men or coach Lane stomached his act? Then to see him play the good ol’ boy on t.v. What a phony peice o’ crap.

All of you Freak Renshaw bashers are nuts! He has one of the best shows I have ever listened to. Its very diverse and has the right amount of UK and UL. He doesnt show much favortism, and it is hilarious one day after the next. Although the Matt Jones show was great… it is geared more for UK fans (which I love). It almost excluded any non UK audience (Which is great). Now Matt Jones will get even stronger when paired with Demling. The UL fans will be able to listen to the show and maybe take something away from it.
The only show I believe competes with The Freak is Alan Cutler’s morning show out of Cincinnati. I just moved here to Northern KY from Louisville and have fallen in love with Cutler’s show. I hope he is on the media approval list!
Was Cutler once a Lexington spor tstalk figure?

Its funny how people are just flat out different from one another. Some of you posts that Colin Cowherd is terrible meanwhile I think he’s the best voice on radio. Different strokes….

Why is it we never here from TJ or Evan on the radio? Seems like you would atleast have them on as guests seeing as how they contribute so heavily to the site. Trevor? Isnt he a UL guy? How will the show stay mainly focused on the cats if thats the case?

Seriously cutting the last hour of the Dave and Scott show and replacing it with Bob and Will is a terrible decision. That would be like designing a game winning shot for Sheray Thomas. Just terrible terrible terrible decisions.
At least the national shows will still be around.

Dave and Scott will now be telecast on the CW-Louisville for their 6-8AM time slot, much like Mike and Mike, which is part of the decision I think

They offer much better insight into todays modern world of athletics than the older guys at ESPN.

The FREAK IS THE MAN!!! I can’t stand the BIG EZ at all. He is by far the worst. I like Colin Cowherd when he is actually talking sports, but some of his opinions on college basketball are pathetic. He rambles on way to much about his life. No one wants to hear that. Still seems to be popular though. Matt Jones will be great with Jody Demling. Wish I was still living in Louisville to listen.

Oh and I absolutely cannot stand Doug Gottlieb and his pitiful show the pulse. The only time I listened to that show was if they had a replacement for DOUCHY DOUG.

Good lineup. Still wish we could hear you on the way home Matt but 6:00 is better than 8:00.
Dave and Scott have a good thing especially during football and basketball.
Used to hate the herd but now I really like him. Same goes for Renshaw. They grow on you with their honesty and consistency and knowledge.
Bozich is not bad he has a lot of local sports knowledge and is failry unbiased.
Big EZ is one of the more worhtless personalties I have ever heard. He loves IU and he adds nothing and is rarely correct about sports knowledge.
Great station and website overall. Love the way you guys are willing to change and forge the blade rather than follow the masses.
