- The Celtics closed out the Pistons last night and then promptly forgot about that whole “act like you’ve been there before” thing. It’s interesting that the Lakers took a very reserved business-like approach to making the Finals and Boston is popping jerseys and throwing around “Beat L.A.” chants like they’re coached by John Calipari.
- So where did things go wrong for the Pistons yet again? This guy blames Tayshaun Prince.
- The UK baseball team is down 5-1 in the bottom of the sixth innning to the Michigan Wolverines and the rain delayed game will resume today at 11 a.m. The winner will play Arizona at 7 p.m. and the loser will play Eastern Michigan at 2 p.m.
- The SEC is talking about possibly starting their own television network. Their contracts with CBS, ESPN and Raycom all expire in about a year and the new network would allow them to keep pace with the Big 10, who they like to beat into the ground every year on the playing field.
- In “Thank God yesterday was payday news”, today is the last day to turn in your applications for tickets to the 2009 Final Four. It’s also the last time you’ll ever try to book a vacation to Detroit.
- If Tom Coughlin ranked his quarterbacks on manhood, then there would be two Kentucky quarterbacks battling it out for the top spot. Eli Manning would firmly entrenched as the number 3.
- And finally, there was more greatness at the spelling bee yesterday:

#2 I use to love this blog but it has been a joke for quite awhile now. I appreciate the work the staff do but the comment section is sh**! It has become a board for little kids or the same boring posters that never leave Matt’s site. I honestly think most of these guys think Matt and his gang have no other lives.

Personally, I think the idea of posting 1st is cute and funny. For the life of me, I do not understand how the first posting could possibly upset or offend anyone. Please explain.

4) You need a life as well.
5) I quit coming over here to post. I do read the blogs and then move on. I now go to another board because for the most part they talk about the Cats. The Mods chase the little ones away.

Prince’s fault? I guess the writer’s been yelled at too many times by ‘Sheed. From what i saw, Wallace performed a “Houdini” the past couple games, when it mattered most.
#3/#7, you have not given an explanation (per #4) as to why someone posting “1st” offends you. I understand differing opinions make the world go round. My only request is that if you have an issue, please come to the table with a solution. Otherwise, any criticisms without solutions become irrelevant. But that’s my opinion, and since I just posted it, now open to critique.

That Spelling Bee stuff is amazing - and funny too.
I’m afraid our Bat Cats will be heading home later today. I hate to see them lose game 1 then have to turn around and play again immediately to a fresh team. Doesn’t look good.

When the Boston Three Party took that picture, I hope they had Kris Kross playing in the background….

FYI, over the past six seasons the Big Ten is 9-8 against the SEC in bowl games.
