Remember that whole thing about the early signing day for football? Well, the SEC athletic directors and presidents shot it down today, giving the idea a run so short and unsuccessful, that even the creators of The Hottie and The Nottie are laughing. I don’t understand what this was about in the first place. Can the SEC institute an additional signing period unilaterally? It was my understanding that the single signing period was a NCAA wide rule.
Was the vote just to show the SEC supports it so that the NCAA can begin discussing a general rule change?

that sucks this would help UK recruiting. it would keep UT and all the other bigger name sec schools from swooping in and stealing a recruit from us after they decide they have a need. If we could go ahead and get a signature from these type players it would allow UK to go after fringe recruits we wouldnt normally get
