SEC S’lant: Week 3

by @ 5:08 pm. Filed under Intern's Insights

Three weeks into the season and the SEC picture is already shaping into an incoherent mess. Some of it’s a relative surprise: the East is definitely least with Georgia already 0-2 in the SEC, Florida playing with the precision of Michael J. Fox, and Arkansas and Auburn in the top 15 with Ole Miss running away with the suck. Some of it’s status-quo: Bama is annoyingly consistent in its excellence, South Carolina is 3-0 and will end the season 7-5, Tennessee found rock bottom, and LSU is the most unconvincing top 10 team in the nation.

Florida 31 UT 17
The Gators are 3-0 but have showed nothing close to enough firepower to skate to a 12-0 regular season. Brantley has shown an arm, but the Gators don’t have a reliable receiver, nor offensive line. The defense is young and prone to the occasional lapse, but its a unit with as much potential and skill as any in the nation. The offense will improve eventually, but will never be a juggernaut, so it’ll be interesting to see how far they can ride the D. And by D, I mean penis.
As for the Volz, twas a game effort, and, you kicked a midget!!! The real question is, which legendary legacy is least like their dad, Nate Montana or Matt Simms?

Arkansas 31 UGA 24
If you watched the first half, you saw an offensive surgeon running his clinic. When Petrino has the right tools, he is capable of scoring on anyone at anytime. If he wasn’t such a sunuvabitch, I’d almost enjoy it. Ryan Mallet and his 380 yards, 3 TD’s, and game winning drive sealed his spot atop the Heisman race for now, and Mark Richt continues to cement his own feet.

Vandy 28 Ole Miss 14
After the opening week loss to Jacksonville St., why not just go ahead and complete the shit-cycle with a 2 TD loss to Vandy at home? Ole Miss is not flukey bad, they’re just downright awful, but they’ll still nab that one big win against LSU or Arkansas, because that is the embodiment of Houston A. Nutt.

Kentucky 47 Akron 10
Kentucky has swept through three of the worst teams in D1. They have also yet to commit a turnover and have avoided the major injury, something I immediately regret typing. In short, UK’s season has gone precisely to plan. Next on that plan, not getting utterly humiliated in the Swamp.

Hate to be a bubble buster but UGA won’t lose again. Murray is the real deal.

SC will lose to Bama and auburn
Florida will lose to Bama and UGA and SC(maybe UK-nah)
UGA will win out and go to ATL with 2 losses

UK needs to beat MSU,Ole Miss,Vandy and UT to get to 7 wins. Lattimore will go wild in Commonwealth. Newton is too good but that one is still a toss up.

    7-5 or 8-4 4-4 or 5-3 in the SEC
    Outback Bowl anyone?

  2. Hard Hittin' CAT Says:

Georgia will absolutely lose again! Murray is young and has no confidence going right now. Plus they get to come play at Commonwealth this year.

Florida is allowing teams to grind up big rushing totals. I think the CATS can move the ball on the ground against them. But Wilkinson, most of the ‘experts’ around here say we have no shot against Florida.

Not so fast my friend! GO CATS

  3. AllLeftistsAreEnemiesOfTheUS Says:

    That MJF slam was cruel.

  4. Kansas Sucks Says:

    1) “UK needs to beat MSU,Ole Miss,Vandy and UT to get to 7 wins.”

We aren’t going to beat Charlestown Southern?

  5. PriceCycleCoOnWarnock Says:

we will probably lose one we should win and take one or two as underdogs. As long as we beat UT, I will count it as a successful season! Nothing sucks like a big orange.

  6. Pocket Pool Player Says:

LMAO. You guys are all estatic about being 3-0:) Lexington Catholic would be 3-0 against the schedule we’ve played thus far. Fartline is a joke, only mustering up 5 TD passes in 12 quarters against three cupcakes. And yes, Loserville is a cupcake this year, or at least they were in Week 1 with a brand new coach and QB. Florida will kick our posterior and so will Tennessee, Georgia, SC, Ole Miss, Miss State, Auburn and even Vandy. When you have an NAIA QB starting in the SEC, don’t expect much when the cupcakes are all gone and its time to play the big boys.

  7. Dennis Dixon Says:

Some of you crack me up. Where have you been for the last 25 years when UK has played Florida?? Have you been too drunk to remember the games?? Have you been too high to remember the outcomes?? Have you been asleep on the couch?? This next game is in “The Swamp” UK has a horrible defense and a horrible QB. Hartline will choke up and get rattled when Florida’s speedy ends and linebackers biltz the dog snot out of him. Hartline will get picked off or either will eat a lot of dirt by taking sacks. The crowd will kill us. It will be at least 21-0 after the first quarter, 35-3 by halftime and 55-10 by the final buzzer. UK has ZERO chance to win this game Saturday, ZERO!!!!!! Don’t build yourselves up thinking it’s going to happen because you’ll only let yourself down. Florida is a NATIONAL POWERHOUSE with a Calipari like coach and they have more talent on their 3rd string team than we have starting. FACT.

Go Cats, but be realistic people. Florida will kick our poop shooters.

  8. Dennis Dixon is gay Says:

7- just like LSU was supposed to kill us a few years back. You are not a fan.

  9. Pocket Pool Player is gay Says:

    Yes I am

  10. Michael J. Fox Says:

    Dude,that was cruel.

  11. underkanter Says:

6 and 7 what the hell. are you 2 on the f*cking site. we not beat the gators but sh*t @ least act like your a cat fan. i guess we will see how the outcome is on saturday tard fans!

  12. PriceCycleCoOnWarnock Says:

UK win in the swamp is highly unlikely, but no a 0% probability. That’s why they play the games. As UK of 40 years, I’ve witnessed games we should NOT have won…but we did. I’ll hold out my hope until they put us away. Until then, I’ll enjoy the dreaming about the huge upset that is possible on Sat.

  13. underkanter Says:

sorry was so pissed couldnt type but why are you 2 on this site your not a true blue fan by saying that sh*t. we might not beat the gators in the swamp but have some faith or go 2 inside theville.com and become butt buddies w/drew deenier! must be sitting in front of your computers with your fat a** stomachs hanging out the bottom of your UF or UT shirt.

  14. Dennis Dixon Says:

8: I am a fan. A REALISTIC fan. UK had a lot of seniors that year and a great o-line. Not the case this year. Hope all you want. But hope is the worst thing to give a lady in need such as yourself.

  15. Dirty Underwear Says:

Dennis Dixon: You are so correct. Preach it brother.

  16. SexnNursinHomes Says:

I remember the last time UK beat Florida, I was 11 years old, and had parachute pants and ricky shroeder was that bastard rich kid on silver spoons.

  17. BPsycho Says:

#17 You may have pasted that from somewhere else, but this is for the whoever keeps bring it up..

    *yawn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!*

NOBODY GIVES A ****!!!!… I should have typed that unedited, because the statement truly deserves it, but I don’t wanna get banned!

But seriously…… Nobody cared when Cal was announced as our head coach *except a few crazy people that need to get laid*
… Nobody cared 6 months after he was coach and people kept posting it… And nobody gives a flying **** now..

Except the exact same people.. What do you guys want? Matt to slit his throat for saying some **** years ago?

    /rant

  18. BPsycho Says:

    #16 lolol

  19. Scott Says:
