After much speculation and waiting, the man with the most beautiful pre-shot free throw form in the history of the game officially committed to the Cats today, per Jeff Drummond of TCP. Matt Jones just got off the phone with Harrelson about 15 minutes ago to confirm the commit, and he will of course have more details later. Besides guaranteeing that Rick Majerus will continue to have UK-themed nightmares, this also means that UK will finally have another body to throw around in the paint.

AJ– PP should have some more room to move if we knock down some outside shots. With the line being moved back, we may be able to pull the defense away and allow him to be more 1 on 1 with the defender. Let’s hope.

I think this will prove to be a bigger sign than we are thinking at present time.
His body looks very mature and the fact that Rick Majerus was so high on him tells me a lot.
Majerus has recruited some pretty successful post players in his career.

Just got some news from my source. Take it for what its worth. Flemings was offered, but has a problem attending class. The next day after CBC tells him we dont play like that at UK, he skips again. Offer pulled. Next day commits to UH. I believe it. I also believe that oxyclean will remove any stain in the world.

Kecman commits to Ohio State

Forward prospect Nicola Kecman committed to Ohio State over Kentucky, his junior college coach said on Tuesday.
Kecman, a forward with three-point shooting range, had been targeted by UK.
Tim Walsh, his coach at Eastern Arizona College, cited academics as a reason for the decision. He also noted how Kecman felt a greater sense of excitement with Ohio State, where he visited last weekend.
“I think when he left there, that’s where he wanted to go,” Walsh said. “When we rode back from the airport, I had a feeling that’s where he’d go.”
When asked what gave him that feeling, Walsh said, “The way he spoke of the team, the coaching staff. With everything, there was an excitement in his voice.
“I didn’t get that same sense when he came back from Kentucky. He enjoyed the visit (to UK). Who wouldn’t? But I didn’t see that excitement and energy.”
Ohio State apparently also had an advantage academically. Walsh noted OSU’s aviation engineering program as key.
“That really settled it,” the junior college coach said. “That’s what he wants to get into and he was very impressed with what Ohio State had to offer.”
Kecman, a 6-foot-9 player from Serbia, averaged 13.3 points and made 46 percent of his three-point shots this past season. He became the second prospect to get away from Kentucky this week.
On Monday, big man Ater Majok, a native of Sudan via Australia, committed to Connecticut.
Kentucky remains involved with at least two big men: junior college strongman Josh Harrellson of Southwestern Illinois College and high school senior Maurice Sutton of Largo, Md.

Don’t know much about Josh, other than what I’ve read about him on this blog. He’s big, likes to wear jean shorts and apparently shoots a lot of free throws. Just got the update from scout, they have him listed as a one star that has already signed his LOI.

I posted this a little earlier, but I just cant get over the Harrellson quote. The kid has been a Wildcat for about 5 hours and he has said a quote that should forever be remembered.
