One thing is clear about the early John Wall NBA Experience. The man knows how to sign business deals. First, he went for 25 million to Reebok and now he has signed an exclusive deal with something called “Paninifor his basketball cards. Now I will grant you that I dont know what “Panini” is. I thought it was the type of sandwich I always get at Panera Bread (the best of which is on Nicholasville Road…there is no restaurant in the greater Kentucky area that has a better “decent food to attractive women” ratio) but it apparently is also a sports card manufacturer. If anyone is from Panini and is reading this, I would be glad to learn more about your product if you send me some of these cards above (dont ever say I am not a sellout).
The world of sports cards has changed from my day…we only had baseball and it was a small group…Topps, Donruss and Fleer. Then along came Score (which is the one my mom always bought me…she tried
) and Upper Deck, with their fancy Ken Griffey Jr rookie card. Basketball cards and football cards were afterthoughts. I honestly didnt know that they still made these cards, in part because you never hear about them anymore. The guy in Middlesboro named “Fish” shut his card store down and I thought the internet had made sports cards go the way of the WB Network. But apparently Panini and its competitor “Cubano” are still in the business and it looks like the John Wall card above is quite smooth. So get one one if you can, and if you have extras, send them to me….we have to pay BTI somehow.

Thanks for the memories…
I remember getting cards at the Woolworth’s on Winchester Road and at Bibby’s on New Circle?

Can you get them at Walmart

Panini used to be Donruss. Same useless cards, different pointless name.

I should have know I wasn’t lucky enough to build a retirement portfolio at the age of 12. If your broker has a stand at the local hardware store, you’re doing it wrong.

My rookie cards were all sold out in 1 week.

This set comes out in late September. It’s a lower level product, but it’s the first one available featuring Wall and Cousins.
And I’ll throw this out there. BUY his cards NOW…. Buy them up any chance you get… Do not sell them until 2015…
I did this with the King “Lebron”, and I was very, very well rewarded. very, very, very…

I have been saying it for awhile now. Panera Bread has more women than you can shake a stick at and I’m from western Ky/Evansville, IN. We call it “Chicks Love Carbs”!! Easily 3 to 1 women to men and hotness level is at times ridiculous.

Being an AM at the Panera Bread at Brannon Crossing (further down Nich. Rd. in Nicholasville), I must both commend you on repping (sic) our restaurant, and slight you, because that is actually the worst Panera in the area. Just saying…

My mom asked me a couple of weeks ago if kids were still collecting cards. I honestly don’t know. When I was a kid, that was my life, but I don’t think it’s even near as popular as it once was. Kinda sucks actually because that was such a great hobby! With all of the different card companies, I think it flooded the market. I hope John Wall can bring cards back!

#6 If you bought James true rookie card you spent more than they are worth today. Everyone and his brother bought them in quantity.
Sorry Matt missed out on Fleer basketball cards in the mid-eighties. Yes they did exist and are the most valuable of the basketball cards today.

Can’t wait to get one…I think Wal-mart should have them, or you can go to a shop or dealer.

I have about 25 shaq rookie cards, Mark McGwire, Rodger Clemons and a Magic Johnson-Larry Bird combo card that had three players on one card that were perforated that I destroy by tearing them apart what a bummer. All my cards are worth nothing now!

I work at that Panera! And I couldn’t agree more.. My fellow male employees and I will often sit back and just enjoy the view. It’s really the only perk of that job.
