The Revolution Will Be Televised

by @ 6:00 pm. Filed under Blue Blooded Opinions

Earlier today Dave Baker released some details through his twitter on the KentuckyVS Canada world tour coming up mid August.  For those of you who won’t be able to travel with KSR to see the games in person (and this likely includes myself,) according to the Buzz, we will be able to catch all the Canada games on TV.

His tweets, unabridged:

buzzbaker: 1st chance to see UK’s freshman! All games in Canada will be televised on the Big Blue Sports Network & will be seen on WKYT-TV & WYMT.

The Sunday and Monday games will be at 7:00pm, with a “Wildcat Warm-up” pre-game show from 6:30-7:00pm.

The Tuesday game will be at 11:00am and will be followed by a 30 min. post- game “Wildcat Wrap-up” show.

Yours truly & Canada’s favorite son Kyle Macy on hand! The dates August 15, 16, 17! Could we also see “Curling w/ Kyle?”

So there you go.  Everyone but Vargas should be making the trip, so you should get a chance to preview the team before Big Blue Madness.  Will it be good basketball?  Not likely.  Will Coach Cal stop the game to tell us that ‘there’s a lot of work to do?’  Pretty likely.  Will the combination of Kyle Macy and Buzz Baker manage to both put us to sleep and excite us in inappropriate manners?  Absolutely likely.

Unrelated topic of discussion: Does Rick Pitino’s fifteen seconds of fame make its way into competing coaches recruiting speeches?  Even a little?  And how terrible will the West Virginia fans be to Louisville this year?

Take it away commenters.

What about those of us who don’t live in KY? Will there be a live-stream online?

  2. MtnCat Says:

Bless you Buzz, those are welcome words. Go Cats!

  3. GoCats2 Says:

Anyone see this list of 25 most hated teams in sports history?
There are two teams that knocked us out of the tourney on here, maybe some UK fans got to vote.

Ricky’s going to be running his new drive-dribble offense.

    “Take it away commenters.”

: “This is a story all about how
My life got flipped-turned upside down
And I liked to take a minute
    And sit right there
And tell you how I became the prince of a town called Bel Air”

How does Dicky Ricky Three Stacks Pitino get off so easy by the derfense attorney representing Karen S. ?
It seemed as if the defense attorney was actually intimidated by Pitino.
I hear that Pitino left for Vegas for a long weekend within hours after getting off the witness stand.
    U of L deserves scum like Pitino/Jurich/Ramsey.
U of L will never recover from the “Pitino 15 seconds of fame”. I actually hate the fact that Pitino will forever be associated with the University of Kentucky as an ex-coach.

  7. Calipari'sInYourEar Says:

#6 - blitzedanddazed - Pitino brought our program back to prominance. It was a magical ride. He made a huge error in judgment in leaving for Boston, then coaching Louisville, and then tripping over a wizard sleeve in Porchini’s.

He is paying for all of those decisions. He would also admit they were all poor choices… well, all except the coaching UL part. He’s not stupid. But after he’s done there, he’ll admit it.

I don’t think people would be piling on so much if he couldn’t take it. But why hate him or his previous association with UK basketball? That’s a flaw in you, not him.

  8. tyson Says:

did i miss the Orton story or has it not been posted yet?

  9. blitzedanddazed Says:

#7 Who said anything about “hating” Ricky Three Stacks? By the way–what the hell are you smoking? Error in judegement? Tripping over a wizard sleeve? The only thing Rick regrets is that he finally got caught. Plus just to let you know, the University of Kentucky stands for than just its basketball program.

5- “in west philadelphia where I was born and raised,
down at the playground where I spent most of my days”

    Can’t wait! Go Cats!

  12. HillbillyInBC Says:

Still trying to find out if it will be televised in Canada.

  13. BravoBigBlue Says:

7 - He’s an f’in basketball coach. Your man-worship of him is gross. That’s a flaw in you IMO.

  14. 3 fan Says:

What are the dates of the Canada games? Thanks
