[Moderated by Matt Jones, Drew Franklin and Tyler Thompson]
On Friday I had a chance to film the first of what will be a number of summer interviews with folks around the UK program in a series that we are calling Ten Questions with Matt Jones. Mike Pratt was the first guest and we discussed everything ranging from the NBA Draft results for UK, to Cal’s comments about “the greatest night in UK history”, to the TMZ story to the disaster that was the Billy Clyde era. GREAT stuff from Mike if you are a hardcore fan and some insight on who he believes have been the best UK players of the last 20 years. Enjoy:

Matt’s hair is nothing short of FABULOUS.
It looks like Matt hit the ground running as soon as his announcement was made yesterday. If this interview is an indication of things to come with his new TV spot, I am looking forward to it. This was a great interview and Matt seemed very comfortable doing it. Very nice indeed. You see, lawyers can be useful to society.

#4 “Matt’s hair is nothing short of FABULOUS”
I be sayin this for the past 5 years… I mean, just look at it.
It’s screaming ” You know you want me…but you can’t have me “

3) that would be like throwin a hotdog down a hallway! Ha.

Outstanding interview with Mike Pratt. Matt you did a great job. And, oh yes, I noticed you deleted my Alfred E. Neuman comment from a few days ago. I guess a person hasn’t arrived in stature in the comments section, until one of his comments have been deleted. I can now check that one off my list.

What day and time is the show going to be on. They need a better background

7) congratulations…. and welcome to the “dirty dozen”. Have u met sexinnursinghomes and bpsycho?
July 3rd, 2010 at 2:30 pm
#9: I haven’t met sexinnursinghomes, but I have had the distinct pleasure of meeting bpsycho. BPsycho is one of my favorite commentors.

#9: I am making this comment separate from the previous one, as this one may be deleted. All I said in the comment that was deleted a few days ago, was that Matt is looking more like Alfred E. Neuman with each passing day.
Now, in my day, Alfred E. Neuman was a cultural icon. I didn’t mean to belittle Mr. Jones. In looking at his photo in that particular post, it struck me that he looks similiar to Alfred E. Neuman. I read Mad Magazine when I was a kid. I liked Alfred E. Neuman. My friends liked Alfred E. Neuman. Alfred E. Neuman was cool back in the 1950s.
So there. Now that I have said it, “What, me worry?”
July 3rd, 2010 at 2:55 pm
Sir I knew Alfred E Neuman….. and Matt is no Alfred E Neuman. HA jk.

At 3:54 of video #1 Matt says “you guys” (UK) to Pratt.
Wonder how difficult that was for him?
July 3rd, 2010 at 3:15 pm
MATT this is gold Jerry!,,,,living in Augusta Ga its hard to get anything UK. This is why I love this site.
July 3rd, 2010 at 3:17 pm
Nicely done. I look forward to more of this.
July 3rd, 2010 at 3:18 pm
Nice intro, Matt says Pratt gives some “insight”. Do you get royalties for that?
July 3rd, 2010 at 3:19 pm
I enjoyed this interview. Can anyone tell me where to find the list of Mike Pratt’s team mates in 67 and 68. Issel, Pratt, Casey are three if I remember. Who were the other members? Is there a site where I can find yearly team members from the 40′s thru present? A book that has this info? Remember listening to the teams on radio from the late 40′s thru present and just cannot remember like I used to!

I dont understand why a liberal would censorship a joke thats not even offensive. oh wait,,,the whole party operates that way so i guess i do understand it. now lets go attack fox news!
July 3rd, 2010 at 4:28 pm
If ever Mitch Barnhart leaves town, Mike Pratt should be UK’s new AD.
July 3rd, 2010 at 7:02 pm
17) – Go to bigbluehistory.net. Amazing site that has anything you ever want to know about UK basketball.
July 3rd, 2010 at 7:19 pm
Is that really Joe Crawford’s picture? Otherwise, excellent job Matt!
July 3rd, 2010 at 7:42 pm
I think it would produce great aplomb if we could hear all the dirty stories in succession like a 10 question format, if KSR group could find a willing subject.
July 3rd, 2010 at 7:43 pm
About Billy G.’ tenure.. dang.
July 3rd, 2010 at 9:32 pm
cannot believe some UK fan hasn’t come up with the Issel, Pratt, Casey team mates. Come on, someone out there has to know who the team mates are, or know where to find this information.
July 3rd, 2010 at 10:28 pm
Great interview Matt. Looking forward to the next one.
July 3rd, 2010 at 10:49 pm
#21-TMZ is reporting that Mike Garrett is out as AD at USC- hopefully, they’ll review Barnfart’s latest mass-mailed resume and decide that even Mitch couldn’t screw-up a program as badly as Garrett – even though he’ll try. BTW-Mitch should pay Coach Cal a percentage of the next deal he’ll ‘try’ as HE certainly hasn’t/didn’t earn it! I agree…Mike Pratt would be a great choice as out next AD…but, we need to get the “DITCH MITCH” movement in high gear…even if Clueless Lee objects!

#26 (JR) — In 67-68, off the top of my head, try Phil Argento, Steve Clevenger, Jim LeMaster, Bob Talent, Cliff Berger, Tom Porter, Thad Jaracz, Terry Mills, Jim Dinwiddie, Bill Busey, Randy Poole, Clint Wheeler, Art Laub.

Not too bad but surely you could have come up with 10 better questions than all the obvious ones you came up with. I suggest you “pre-promote” these interviews by asking your readers what they would ask and then choose your top ten questions from those suggestions. “That’s” called marketing.
July 4th, 2010 at 3:29 pm
thank you 22, it is a great site, spent the last hour just “refreshing” my memory!!
July 6th, 2010 at 10:48 am
