how do u watch it do u just go to the website and it plays because all i see is a blue screen

  21. j-mo Says:

he doesn’t start?? I really don’t care how loaded they are. Maybe it’s a Coury deal somwhere in the starting roster.

  22. Blue in the Vein Says:

I second the fact that he didn’t start. I see Galloway as a waste of a scholarship unless BCG knows that Liggins is not going toqualify. Galloway has no outside jumpshot and is an oversized point forward. We already have 2 of those in Jasper and Liggins. We’re gonna need offense next season and Galloway isn’t the answer their. Liggins, Jasper, and Galloway will give the other team 3 more defenders to stick on PPat. Next year is gonna be rough unless BCG has an ace up his sleeve. We’re gonna have to execute our offense flawlessly next year because Meeks is the only legitimate outside threat on the team, God let him be healthy.

  23. Al Purnell here Says:

I think Perry Stevenson left arm could fit in this guys
    right nostril.

  24. Azubuikebicep Says:

Did anyone notice how much cushion the defenders gave Galloway and yet he still wouldn’t shoot?
He must have Rondo like jumper.

I can already hear the heavily intoxicated upper deck of Rupp screaming “shoot the dang ball!”

  25. pji Says:

Hey #22, he didn’t start that game because the team attracts high level talent by playing an up tempo style that lends itself to continuous substitutions. All the guys on his team are D-1 caliber athletes. That is why the coach allows each player a certain number of minutes and starts (to keep them happy). I have got a feeling BCG knows a little more about what is going on than you. Worse comes to worse, we added another top-notch athlete to the team. Just relax.

  26. Blue in the Vein Says:

25, I’m sure the dude is an athlete and can defend, but we have plenty of those. We need to replace 2/3’s of our offense to get us back to where we were this year. I want to get better than that, and having a team full of passers will not help if nobody will shoot the ball. PPat won’t be here forever and who know’s when Jody will be back to 100%. Next year is gonna be rocky, that’s all I’m saying. It’s not BCG’s fault that he’s had to make do. We desperately need players, but at what cost to future recruits that will make us a contender. We are lightyears away from being a contender at this point, but I do believe in Gillispie.

  27. Burly Says:

Watched the 1st 6 minutes of game, it was nothing more than Dirt Bowl action. When I seen the other team completely ignore Galloway I saw all I needed to see. He never looked at the basket. That is really sad that a kid can get a D1 offer from UK and cannot make a wide open 3 pointer. We now have 3 guys at 6′6″ who cannot play a lick of offense. We better press 94′ so these guys can shoot lay ups. Very sad with what I saw.

  28. UK Alum Says:

I could barely watch the game due to all the whistles. Go to the right before the 46 minute mark for a nice coast to coast DRIVE and DUNK from Galloway.

  29. Splat Jones Says:

Blue in the Vein, you’ve taken the place of moron on this forum (title formerly owned by Shelton).

You know absolutely nothing about this kid yet your talking like you do. Check his stat line from this past season, he averages 10 assists in only 20 minutes per game. He has a PG handle at 6′ 6″. He doesn’t force his shot, but when he shoots it, he can make it.

You have defined the word fool today. Keep it up and you’ll end up putting Merriam Webster out of business.

    Check each games stats… http://athletics.csi.edu/mensBasketball/mbasketballSchedule.asp?yr_cde =2007

  30. UKCoryWildcat Says:

Wow, I can’t believe UK fans bashing a player that hasn’t even played a game for us. You guys sound real tough sitting on your fat a** behind a computer and probably don’t know a lick about basketball. No wonder it is hard to get recruits here because they don’t want to get dogged all the time by the fans. Show some
class #25 & #27. Does that make you feel better about yourself putting down a kid that just signed with the school you root for.

  31. Splat Jones Says:

You fools give an assessment from 3 minutes of one game (that was plagued with refs calling fouls ever 2 seconds to boot)… lol. I bet Maggard could use you as his midwest talent scouts rotfl.

Never take anything “Burly” or “Blue in the Vein” say seriously. What a joke.

  32. big blue gonad Says:

Galloway looks like he could take over the game if he just tried a little harder. I’m impressed with his stats; however this game is the most boring game. Wherever this is, the average age must be 70 because everyone in the stands is old…. They must have a free buffet after the game.

  33. Blue in the Vein Says:

Did somebody’s feelings get hurt, I like UK as much as the next guy, but we’re not in good shape next year. You may enjoy basketball were the offense looks painful, but I prefer a little offense. I hope the player proves me wrong, but he will be playing behind two similar guys, seems like a waste of scholarship to me. Maybe one of you guys should start a blog since you know so much.

  34. Blue in the Vein Says:

Your talking stats at the DII level also. Those teams that they are playing are not at the caliber that we hope to beat. Like I said earlier, you have to have a guy who can put the ball in the hole in order to have an assist. We don’t have many. BCG has shown that he liks to grind out a game, he may change that next year but for now that style does play to the strength of our offense. It’s just an opinion.

  35. senorpuma Says:

25 - first of all, we DO NOT have “plenty” of athletic guys who can defend. 27 - watch more than the first 6 minutes before passing judgement, please. You sound like an idiot - “all I needed to see” Really!? Well, then you missed his block-and-full-court-drive-and-thunderous-jam!! just after the 45 min. mark, and you also missed him DRAIN his only outside shot attempt of the first half, just at the buzzer after dribbling down the clock for one shot. He is a stud people! I see a guy who wasn’t shooting because he was totally focused on getting his teammates involved. I see a guy who was better than everyone else on the court, and who knew it. I think its great to see a guy totally at ease with making those around him better, and on a team that is clearly better than its opponent, he’s not forcing it trying to “get his”. Wake up people!

  36. senorpuma Says:

33 - “playing behind two similar guys” how about “playing alongside” ? Don’t you think having three 6-6 guys who are unselfish, can handle, pass, defend, finish around the basket, and hit an open jumper is an asset on a basketball team? Sounds like a recipe for a fluid and unselfish offense to me.

  37. UKCoryWildcat Says:

#34 I forgot you are a better coach than CBC, my bad. I know it is your opinion I just think it looks bad for UK that fans say a that a player is a wasted scholarship, just doesn;t look very good to me. Not very supportive in the coach or the team. Just my opinion.

  38. Blue in the Vein Says:

I really like to have unselfish guys on a team and not saying that the guy wouldn’t be a good get, but we already have guys with his type of game, sure would be nice to knab a shooter and a big man.

  39. senorpuma Says:

This is directed at everyone on here. You know what, while we’re all on this “Meeks is our only scorer, boo-hoo, poor us” kick, I have to point something out. I’ve noticed something about Jodie Meeks, God love him. He takes bad shots! There, I said it. Blasphemy! I know. I love him, but he forces it a bit sometimes. I think having so many athletic guys who are so versatile around him will actually help him get better looks on the offensive end. I think we’ll see UK running a lot more next year, running a fluid half-court offense and playing lock-down man to man D. We’ll be in the Final Four in 2010 if PPat stays.

  40. RexEffect Says:

We already have plenty of Kevin Galloways on this roster (Jasper,Liggins,Harris)….I dont know
how many of you are watching this national title game, but we are NOT even close to contending.\
Kevin Galloway type recruiting isnt getting done next year….2009 recruiting is key to bcg’s success

  41. Blue in the Vein Says:

My point exactly 40, galloway is not a piece that will make us elite and there may not be a piece left out there that can provide that this year. My reasoning is whether it’s worth using scholarships just to fill the roster when BCG could use them on some ringers in 09 or 10., especially with the NBA tinkering with making college guys stay in school for two years. We can’t match the offense of these elite teams, and no defense can hold those caliber teams down all the time.

  42. Blue in the Vein Says:

I will take a bad shot from Meeks before I take a good shot from half of our squad. We don’t have shooters, and driving lanes are not available when you can’t shoot. Meeks is the only guy that we have that isn’t scared to take the open shot. Everyone else hesitates and then takes it if they have to. Jasper’s percentages says that he’s a decent shooter but that is only because he takes what he must take, if he is forced to be a shooter and we have to rely on that we will not win many games. It’s a simple fact. Halfcourt offense will be painful with our current roster because they will just pack in and make us shoot. That being said, I’m not a mind reader and don’t know BCG’s vision. He may have something up his sleeve such as a new strategy, like full court agressive pressure. Which would lead to lots of fouls and a need for a deep bench of 6′6′ or 6′7 long athletic guys. I will always have hope, but I have common sense as well that says our teams has lots of holes.

  43. j-mo Says:

Galloway gives us more depth, and perimiter length… maybe we can run with that type of roster.

#39, I agree he relies on his jumper too much at times. he also gets beat off the dribble easy and I am a huge Meeks fan myself, but it what it is…

  44. j-mo Says:

My bad that that should say run off defending passing lanes like KU and Memphis.

  45. mattcat68 Says:

Looks like a Tubby Smith recruit. Athletic, totally devoid of shooting ability. So sick of it, this is UK, we love offense.

  46. InsideInfo Says:

It sounds like a bunch of people should have watched the whole game. This guy is a fantastic ball player. He brings something to our team that all winning teams have, a true point gaurd. We dont have anybody on our team that see’s the floor as good as him or passes as good as him. He will do something that no one could do last year, get PP the ball, and get it to him at the right time. Lets not forget that Miller can score fairly well.

  47. coreyy12 Says:

SHUT UP U ALL ARE JUST HILLBILIES
    BUD LIGHT GO SUCK ONE
    5, 5 DOLLAR, 5 DOLLAR FOOT LONG

  48. mattcat68 Says:

Okay, after watching the entire game, I must say UK can use this kid. He has great Basketball IQ and the type of court vision you can’t teach. UK could have used him this year, he doesn’t hold on to the ball long, already knows where it’s going by the time he catches it. Patterson and Stevenson are going to love him.

He also is excellent at driving the lane and dishing to the open shooter, where ever they may be, he finds them. He must have blocked 5 or 6 shots, he has speed, a great handle, and can finish with authority. That dunk in the first half was just sick.

Over all, he’s a stat sheet stuffer. Not the best shooter, though he has decent form, but he excels at so many other aspects of the game. He may not shoot a lot, but he will definitely make the offense better.

For those who watch the video, I recommend watching the entire game. The first 9 minutes are very boring, they must have called 30 fouls. Once you get past the first 9 minutes, Galloway dominates this game.

  49. Ryan Says:

How can I watch the game? It wouldn’t play for me. Is there an archive of the game or something?

  50. pji Says:

Not sure where everyone is saying I am dogging the kid. I think I defended him in post #25. I love the fact he “is a great athlete.” I also implied that even if he doesn’t have a shot, he would be great to have because it is always nice to have one more athletic player. You guys need to learn to read (I am speaking directly to #30 and 35). Maybe you want to reread my post before insinuating I am classless.

  51. senorpuma Says:

50 - sorry about that. I wasn’t targeting you with my post at 35, I meant post 26 not 25. If you look at what I said, you’ll see that I was referring to the comments by Blue in the Vein and Burly. My bad

  52. Rajay333 Says:

Looks like a good PG to me. Found the open man, made crisp passes & didn’t turn the ball over. And 45% from 3 pt isn’t too shabby. He could end up being a stud.
