[Moderated by Matt Jones]

It was once said (I believe by Millard Fillmore), that there are two major sports in the SEC, football and spring football. At Kentucky however, we have never really experienced this phenomenon as most Kentucky fans would have enough difficulty dealing with the on-field product during the regular season and would rather watch Basic Instinct 2 than sit through Spring Practice.
But this year is different. There is a new sense of optimism in the air. Spring has sprung and many believe it is a new era for the UK football gridiron. We here at Kentucky Sports Radio hope to quench those of you that have a football thirst in the coming weeks with a little Spring Football coverage. Rob will be a regular at the football practices, and I may even attend one or two, just to see what I can see. In the mean time, here is the Spring Roster….compiled by our man Gidel. Look around….there is a Blake Bowling to be found….

As one who used to skip law school classes to attend spring practices,
let me just say that I am pumped. Please provide as many detailed
accounts of the goings on as possible for those of us unable to be there.
March 30th, 2006 at 8:45 pm
Why Duncan, surely you never skipped law school classes? Statutory Civil Rights or spring football? Hmmm. . .
March 30th, 2006 at 9:53 pm
Duncan, I am guilty of the same thing. I am excited about the season
and my season ticket renewal is in the mail. GO CATS!!!!!
March 31st, 2006 at 12:14 am
When I was at UK, an afternoon at Keeneland
or sipping beer at the old Paddock
was reason enough to skip class…uh…classes.

Millard Fillmore, huh? Ahhh why not!!!

UK’s recruiting is severely lacking. They didn’t have the prestige to pull in the missing center and guard to have the first all-Williams O-line in the history of football. Too bad.
March 31st, 2006 at 12:00 pm
Michael, what are these “civil rights” of which you speak?
March 31st, 2006 at 3:07 pm
All I know is the chair in front of me in that 2:00 in the afternoon class in the spring semester of our third year of law school was often empty.
And, I believe one of those civil rights we discussed was the right of every student to watch the Boys in Blue get after it on the gridiron!
March 31st, 2006 at 3:43 pm
That seat being empty probably led to a much more effective
learning environment for all concerned.

I always have terrible trouble with comment-related plugins that require me to put some line in the comment loop; I can never seem to find the right spot. Can anyone tell me where I should put the php line in my comments loop? I haven not modified anything much, and I would be very grateful. Thanks!

I got the same tramadol attack… well, not the same, because it was only about 20 comments instead of 90, and i t have any filtering set up, and I just deleted them one at a time… hmm.. the only thing really in common was that it was about tramadol… what filter do you have set up that caught them all?

All human situations have their inconveniences. We feel those of the present but neither see nor feel those of the future; and hence we often make troublesome changes without amendment, and frequently for the worse.

Sometimes when you look back on a situation, you realize it was not all you thought it was. A beautiful girl walked into your life. You fell in love. Or did you? Maybe it was only a childish infatuation, or maybe just a brief moment of vanity.

If there were in the world today any large number of people who desired their own happiness more than they desired the unhappiness of others, we could have paradise in a few years.
