Now I freely admit to knowing very little about women. Their ways never seem to make sense to me and I cannot fathom why so many would seem to prefer shopping or Scrubs to a Jay Bilas-Clark Kellogg debate on CBS. However I do know enough about women to know one thing….weddings are huge events for them. If you have ever been to a post-college woman’s apartment and seen the bridal magazines or engaged in a conversation about one of their friend’s weddings….with the cake, bridesmaid dresses, vows, etc dissected, then you know that the wedding is a big deal.
So my question then becomes what woman in the world would agree to have this monumentous occasion on a sports radio show? And not even a good one at that. Well apparently 16 women would do it, as the awful Mike and Mike Radio show has produced a bracket of potential couples to be married on their show. Now everyone who knows me knows that I love brackets, so yes I have a pool going on who will win, but come on!!! Do you know any woman…any at all…that would get married on a sports radio show? I certainly dont. Maybe they would do it because it is free, but when have you known women to be interested in frugality on their wedding day? It boggles my mind.
But they are down to four and one of these “lucky” couples will get to have Mike Golic have a role in their wedding. Unbelieveable….

I love Mike & Mike in the morning. Great show. I hate the wedding deal though. You must not know many women, cause there are tons of them out there that are as big a sports nut as you. UKFBLOCO had a great thread on the rivals board a year or so ago asking guys if they wanted a wife like the one vying for that wedding or one that had no clue who Ravi Moss is. Most wanted to keep their women and sports seperate. I have found the women that are trying to win that thing pretty funny and very knowledgable about sports.

Mike and Mike is the Jay Leno of sports radio….bland and awful. And I still insist that any woman who will get married on a sports radio show has a screw loose.

Other than Bill Curry
they get a lot of good guest on that show on a scheduled regular basis. They also don’t take themselves too seriously. I enjoy the fact that they don’t fabricate controversy and just report what is happening. Anti-Rome!
Screw loose…yeah! All these youngsters your age will do anything to get on TV. It’s the myspace generation.
