I love Super Bowl parties. It’s got everything you could want. You got all the food and adult beverages you can consume. You get a good football game normally. You get a few good commercials here and there. And, you get the ladies actually interested in a sporting event. And, with Tom Brady in the game this year, the women should be coming out in full force. But, when I went to Super Bowl parties in college, a weird thing began happening. These jerk-offs would not pay one damn second of attention to the game, but when there was a time-out it was “Shut up, everybody!!! The Monster.com commercial is coming on.” And god forbid if you spoke during the commercial break, these guys would put a freakin evil spell on you. A guy that is most interested in comic books and animae is telling me to shut up on the biggest sports day in America. I don’t think so. But, according to this article, thats one of only 11 personalities to avoid this Sunday. But, better advice is to try and avoid BEING one of these personalities. Myself, I am the fantasy guy. But, after this article, I am the “I’m gonna shut the hell up” guy.

Why not make the day after the Super Bowl a national holiday?? I always thought this seemed like a good idea!

Fantasy Football guys I don’t mind because they actually talk football and their players. Way less annoying than the rest of those guys. Can’t stand those chicks though.. could you imagine how bad it would be on chicks of it was Favre vs. Brady? Most would be wearing pack and pats gear hoping for a sandwich.

How in the blue hell do we lose a recruit to UNC in football?????
January 31st, 2008 at 6:26 pm
6 Butch Davis is their coach now. Teams much better than us will get the short end of the stick recruiting against him. It does still suck though.

Did my last post REALLY get edited out? Wow this site gets more and more red by the day. I’m guessing I’ll have to eat gruel for dinner next time I want to post again, geeze.
January 31st, 2008 at 11:10 pm
#20 the site is not “red”, its blue, as in kentucky blue. Stick to that topic and see if you edited out.

Did anyone see Duke’s fanbase on ESPN2? The most unattractive award may go to them.
January 31st, 2008 at 11:22 pm
With our starting five healthy, I believe they’re the top or top 2 in the sec. Best five that is. The way Bradley is playing, would you trade him for anyone in the league? Meeks when healthy, Crawford during sec play, Patterson I wouldn’t take anyone for him, and with Stevenson’s athletic ability who is better.
January 31st, 2008 at 11:23 pm
Did Duke sign a contract with ESPN like Notre Dame did with NBC? Its starting to seem that way. I think the reason that the ACC gets hyped up ever year is mostly because everyone sees some sorry team play Duke close on national television at least once a week.
January 31st, 2008 at 11:25 pm
Yeah I think they did. Also I’m not sure but I also think the sec sighned a contract with CBS.
January 31st, 2008 at 11:25 pm
signed^
January 31st, 2008 at 11:28 pm
That is why the UNC-Duke game is hyped up on ESPN so much. They build it up alot more than UK-UL.
January 31st, 2008 at 11:29 pm
Paulus is officially the new Wojo, even has the floor slap down.
January 31st, 2008 at 11:32 pm
#25,#26 i’ve lost the link but UNC, Duke, and UK are the top three in ratings. That is why those three are on TV the most, its about the money. That came up when Pearl complained about UK being on TV so much.
January 31st, 2008 at 11:38 pm
The reason I think there is contracts beetween the acc-ESPN and sec-CBS is each conf. tourney is played on those stations every year. Also, I heard that somewhere.
January 31st, 2008 at 11:38 pm
sec plays on cbs that is and acc on ESPN.
January 31st, 2008 at 11:44 pm
To coin a phrase from bartols and james——-
I am catfan_76 and thanks for your support.lol
January 31st, 2008 at 11:52 pm
I love when they have the games on CBS, and hate when ESPN carries the UK games..
ESPN wants to cut away to much and show something I can see after the game and guess what?
yeah you guessed it right there on ESPN..
So now I have givin ESPN a new slogen…
ESPN great for news, Not for watching the big game…..
February 1st, 2008 at 12:08 am
I know what you mean. Nothing kills the buzz of a big UK run like seeing a sweet wrister from Alexander Ovechkin.
February 1st, 2008 at 12:28 am
Im with #12 I need my fix, please. Wheres the NEWS? Everybody is saying MCadoo is a Tar Heel and there is nothing written about it today.
