Some bad news on a rainy day here in the Ville. As you all know, we are big fans here of the Woo and news has come that there is an illness in his family which has caused him to have to leave his Fort Wayne Mad Ants Developmental League team and head back to Poland. We are very sorry to hear the news and we wish him the best. Use the comments section to give any thoughts you have to Woo and we will make sure he gets them.

Breaking news: Someone else in Woo’s family has come down with Turnoveritis. Turnoveritis is a very serious condition and is very contagious as well. Sopposedly Woo’s family member caught in from him. Woo had to go home to recieve treatment along with his family member.
Best of luck to Woo in these trying times.

Everything is gonna be alright~!!!
Keep your head up Woo~! Four million Kentuckians (minus the Louisiville fans…they’re still bitter about you spanking their asses in that last matchup!) have always got your back! Take care of your “family” over there, and come back to your “family” over here when you’re ready!
Kochający,

January 29th, 2008 at 4:18 pm
20) No offense, but Woo is/was horrible.
January 29th, 2008 at 4:25 pm
#21 Im pretty sure that was not needed, take a day off from bashing our players please
January 29th, 2008 at 4:31 pm
#22 - I agree - I can’t stand posts like 21, I can’t stand his handle either.
January 29th, 2008 at 4:33 pm
I have loved every player that has had the privilege of putting on a UK uniform. I know have made fun of or criticized a few in my time but today is not the day for Woo.
January 29th, 2008 at 4:34 pm
Never been a Cat with a bigger heart or love for UK. Godspeed and our prayeres for you and your family, Woo.
January 29th, 2008 at 4:36 pm
I’m sorry for being so negative. It’s just ridiculous how some people pretend
like some of our lesser players were saviors.
January 29th, 2008 at 4:37 pm
Nobody said he was savior did they?
January 29th, 2008 at 4:51 pm
we wuv you woo!
January 29th, 2008 at 4:55 pm
#26 I will not try to make any comments about some of our lesser fans.
January 29th, 2008 at 4:58 pm
Thanks
January 29th, 2008 at 5:04 pm
I don’t think anyone said he was a savior. Just a cool cat. What’s wrong with that? Damn, why be a prick about everything all the time. Give it a rest. It’s not always about what they did. Sometimes it’s simply about being human. You might try it once #22.
Woo, thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.
January 29th, 2008 at 5:07 pm
And hey, I don’t get any money for this and don’t really see the big deal with hatching a link here every now and then. Apparently Matt and company don’t either since they’ve not said anything to me about it. But this is a link to my blog. I’ve posted some footage of Adolph Rupp. Some of you Kentucky fans might be interested in it. If you don’t own this site and you have a problem with me posting this take it up with God or your higher power or kiss my ass. (yes that goes out to clandestine.)
Here’s the link:

I’ll be throwing more video and Rupp related items later.

hang in there, big woo! big blue nation is keeping you in our thoughts.
January 29th, 2008 at 5:45 pm
Woo you put out 4 years of your life for us and we thank you. I hope all turns out well for you and your family. I also hope you make it back to the states to finish what you have started, another chance to play in the NBA. Good luck WOO
January 29th, 2008 at 5:48 pm
We’re all with you, Woo. Come back to Lexington soon!
January 29th, 2008 at 6:04 pm
I never post anything negative on this site and always stick up for our team, but Woo was terrible. I agree with #21. He didn’t say anything that wasn’t untrue. Woo was definitely terrible at the game of basketball. With all that said I still appreciate his commitment and his love for the university. I also love that he hates Loserville. GOOD LUCK WOO!!!!
January 29th, 2008 at 6:14 pm
Woo gave as much or more hustle than anyone to wear a Wildcat uniform. The talent wasn’t always there but he put on a UK uniform, which is more than most of us can say. For someone not born in Kentucky, he embraced the University like a native and it speaks volumes for his commitment to success not just for himself but for us, the fans. Best of luck Woo. On a light note I will always remember my yells at the T.V. for Woo to block someone instead of taking a charge. Though I’m sure he made the right decision.
January 29th, 2008 at 6:22 pm
Good Luck WOO, hope everything works out
January 29th, 2008 at 6:28 pm
Woo, all thoughts and prayers are with you. It has to be tough being so far away from the family.
I wish we had more guys that were as proud to be a Kentucky basketball as Woo was.
January 29th, 2008 at 6:48 pm
I wondered why I saw him at Urban Active yesterday. Seemed weird that he was in Lexington if he was playing in the NBDL. Wish you the best Woo!

The only other time Woo ever went home while at UK was when his nephew was born. My favorite memory was from the day after Tubby left. Me, my girlfriend, my sister, and WOO were eating at Penn Station, where my sister worked. I asked him who he wants as the new coach even though it doesn’t effect him. he said, “Bobby Knight, coach with the most wins for the team with the most wins”
Same Penn Station that I ate at with Randolph on his last nite before announcing that he was leaving
January 29th, 2008 at 8:10 pm
Oh yeah, and i was thinking this the other day:
why don’t we bring WOO back to Rupp to be the Y in Kentucky. Not Tim Couch for the 3rd time in two years, seriously, I cut ties with #2 when he said he took HGH. But moral of the story is: Bring WOO back to Rupp, the fans would love it.

Woo, We certainly miss you back in Kentucky; your KY passion and pride is legendary… but I’m glad you get to be home with your family… I’m sure they miss you too. I wish the best to you and your family.
January 29th, 2008 at 9:10 pm
Good luck Woo, God’s blessings be with you,I hope your family is find, we really miss you down here in southeastern ky, I only wonder what Billy could have done with you and your outside shot.
January 29th, 2008 at 9:45 pm
21/38. if Woo is terrible, then what are you?
Woo had some good games as a Cat and was instrumental in many big wins. How many big wins have you been instrumental in?
January 29th, 2008 at 9:59 pm
Whether Woo is a great basketball player now or at UK is beside the point, the post was about an emergency in the man’s family. Woo had the utmost respect for the tradition of UK basketball and it showed in how hard he played. He deserves our respect for that, not for how talented he was. I wish Woo the best of luck in his career and I wish the best for his family.
January 29th, 2008 at 10:02 pm
God Bless you Woo. I hope all goes well with your family. Wildcat forever…remember that.
January 29th, 2008 at 10:21 pm
#51 and #52 I never questioned Woo’s character as a player. I thought he worked hard, and not many players loved the University of Kentucky as much as Woo. I simply just said he was terrible at the game of basketball which no doubt is true. I wish Woo the best. #51 I consider myself very low on the basketball talent chart, but I also don’t play for the University of Kentucky. I did participate in college athletics. I played golf for a NAIA school for 4 years. Woo should have probably played for a D2 or NAIA school, but it wasn’t his fault he was asked to play for the University of Kentucky. He just wasn’t any good. I really don’t remember him being instrumental in big wins unless you call 6 points and 2 rebounds instrumental. I don’t even expect a guy like Woo to score JUST rebound and block shots. The man couldn’t even do that at 7′. Obviously all this has nothing to do with my wishes for his family. I will be praying for them.
January 29th, 2008 at 10:23 pm
I also echo #50’s post. BCG probably would have turned him into a player.
January 29th, 2008 at 11:01 pm
Just thought I would point out skill levels of two of last year’s players Woo and Morris both have the same amount of rebounds in the NBA this season.
January 30th, 2008 at 3:18 am
Best of luck and our prayers are with you.
