Nashville’s newspaper, The Tennesseean, ran an informal poll of SEC media members prior to the start of the SEC Tournament and linked the results on their site. What makes me feel good about the state of Kentucky basketball is that a couple of the questions are phrased like “Besides UK…”. That feels more like the natural pecking order of the SEC, doesn’t it? It’s far too easy to say UK will win the SEC Tournament, so besides them, who do you think will win? Here is the complete list of questions and answers. No word on whether or not Jerry Tipton’s voice was allowed to be heard.
Best Coach- Bruce Pearl, Tennessee
I’m more ok with him than Kevin Stallings, but someone who has never been past the Sweet 16? Nah.
Best Player- John Wall, Kentucky
Most Underrated- Trey Tompkins, Georgia
Can you be First Team All-SEC and be underrated?
Deepest in NCAAs (after UK) - Vanderbilt
Best Site for SEC Tournament- Nashville/Atlanta (tie)
Best Player You Saw- Pete Maravich/Shaquille O’Neal (tie)
Legends, of course, but isn’t it ironic that the two best players came from LSU of all places?
Best Fans- Kentucky
Yes, Jerry Tipton must surely have been silenced for this one
Worst Fans- Auburn
Best Homecourt Advantage- Kentucky
But only because it influences the refs, right?

I can’t believe the coach they would least like to have dinner with is Cal. The hate (or jealousy) for him is unbelievable. Cal is by far the most interesting person of the group of SEC coaches. It’s really not close.

Everyone says recruiting is part of coaching so if that’s true there’s no way Pearl is the coach of the year because he recruited the guys that got in trouble.

OH to For the sake of education. Actaully I am saying Channel 27 had a live interview with Coach Cal with the sportcaster and they looked foolish with no Voice, maybe it was my TV. Think about it, as I am frying some pork chops and fried potatoes. God what a world we live in. Have five cases of beer and gonna lay back and get down tonight and yes I laid it on Matt Jones today in my newspaper as he has laid it on me, just having some fun. OH

#5 You hit the nail on the proverbial head, they know less about what’s going on than most of us, especially tipton. Most of them are clueless and write no brainer articles to justify their existance.

IF it helps anyone out they had opened up a parking section R I believe it is. Not too bad of a walk from wherever you need to park but this may knock off a few minute walking time.
