Tennessee head coach Bruce Pearl uses an odd choice of words when looking ahead to his team’s first game without the four suspended players. The self-incriminating statement comes at the 0:54 mark of the video.
As far as the suspensions go, UT athletic director Mike Hamilton says his tolerance with student athletes has gone to zero and that this is a good time to gut-check the student athletes and coaching staff. As of now, the players involved in the New Year’s Day arrests are suspended indefinitely. According to Hamilton, indefinitely means they are starting with dismissal and working their way backwards, rather than starting with a one game suspension and working forwards.
The suspensions leave Pearl’s Vols with only six scholarship players. I’m sure that you, like me, are deeply saddened and sympathetic for the UT program.

I’ve watched this video about 5 times already and laugh out loud every time when the ‘weapons’ comment comes out. Funny how he realizes what he said and apologizes immediately. This coming from a guy who is normally pretty laid back and quick to joke.

I actually felt bad for him when he caught himself using a very poor choice of words. You could see it on his face when he said, “That was terrible.”

I think this post is funny too because Imagine UK fans laughing at Tennessee program and their coach. It will only be a matter of time before your bad karma hits your school too. Then the rest of the country will also be laughing at UK. Is their any adults on your board that actually respects your tradition but are grown up to talk like adult on this post. I guess they teach UK fans to hate their formal,coaches and players you do not like, Who cares about them because their not up to UK standards.
I have to ask UK this ? do you not have a certain big clod that has anger issues? Yes” did your own coach Cal not call out another player recently. I believe it went something like this “your messing with the wrong guy. “Oh I guess having your classy coach threatening the other team players is except able behavior at UK.. Please pay attention you can not or should not laugh to hard yet about other programs because you may find your self in the same situation soon with your school. Cal as your coach = thugs in training

Altho I hate UT I do have respect for coach Pearl and what he has done at Tenn. It is not his fault his players act like a bunch of no goods. I haven’t read what the UT players did, but apparently they were carrying weapons, is that right?
If that’s all it was, just carrying weapons (and I don’t know the facts of the case), then WOW, how far we sheeple have come in America to where folks are getting arrested (with no protest from the sheeple) for exercising a basic right of freedom (2nd amendment) which is the right to protect yourself.
How criminal! Carrying a firearm is a fundamental God-given right. We all should have the right to defend ourselves. I’m sure these UT players weren’t carrying firearms to go murder somebody.
Too bad the pilots on 9/11 didn’t have guns. At worst, what would have happened is that all the terrorists would have been shot, and maybe a passenger by accident, and maybe the plan get a hole or two.
Carrying firearms would make this nation a lot safer!
