Since the Intern came through with some news about Centre, I feel as if it is my responsibility to give the news of my alma mater. Transylvania beat Franklin College this past Saturday to make the NCAA Division III tourney. I, and 1200 of my closest friends were there cheering on the Pioneers and thanks to our efforts, Transy will be hosting the first two rounds of the Division III tourney. Because I am a fan of brackets, I have linked the Division III bracket for you, the reader. Friday night is round 1 and if you are in the Lexington area, you should come down and watch. Guys playing for the love of the game who, while shorter, are just as intense, if not more, than the Div. I guys.
