Further proof that Coaches know more than the media (as if we needed more). This first and second team All-SEC looks much more accurate than the one the media produced:

Charles Rhodes, Miss. State F/C 6-8 245 SR Jackson,Miss.
Chris Lofton, Tennessee# G 6-2 200 SRMaysville, Ky.
Shan Foster, Vanderbilt# G/F 6-6 205 SR Kenner,La.
SECOND TEAM ALL-SEC

The whole Arkansas team almost made it.

Why are Bradley and Crawford the only ones without listed positions?
October 31st, 2007 at 3:12 pm
Yes lilshaun I am so upset. lol! I think I will pull up my word and practice. Hahahahaha!

In all seriousness I think the coaches voting Bradley to preseason 1st team all SEC is crazy. I hope it comes true, but based on the past he’s not proven worthy of even being on the 3rd team, if they even had a 3rd team. He may be though after Billy G. gets done with him.

#4 Because if it was based on past performance they’d both be ridin the pine!
October 31st, 2007 at 3:17 pm
that list sounds right
October 31st, 2007 at 3:22 pm
although i would have made tyler smith play at least one game in the SEC first
October 31st, 2007 at 3:31 pm
Last time I checked, a team is only 5 players, two teams is 10, not 20.

Bradley played well last year, especially at the 2. He’s a clutch player. Sometimes that means he goofs, but he’s just as likely to make a great play too. I’d put him on the second team at least.

I am so psyched that the season has finally about to start. Not only are the cats back but Matt and his boys on here pick up there game as well.
October 31st, 2007 at 3:38 pm
#12 you don’t put someone on the 2nd team all SEC who goofs up quite a bit and he did last year. You can’t put someone on the 2nd team who turned the ball over as much as he did last year. Our whole team was one big turnover
October 31st, 2007 at 3:50 pm
14, It is not last year’s all-SEC team. It’s this year’s preseason all-SEC team. It’s about expectations, get it?
October 31st, 2007 at 3:50 pm
14) I don’t recall what it is exactly, but Bradley actually has a very good assist to turnover ratio. You have to think too, a lot of times, he was the only one doing anything, so he almost had to force it.

#4 - Well that’s Tubbys work, ya know. Don’t worry, soon… we shall be back to organized basketball here in the bluegrass in no time.

Am I the only one that remembers when Smooth won a few games for us by himself?
Remember when we were down 14 at Arkansas and Ramel had 22 in the second half.
Folks cannot let go of that turnover against UCLA in a fairly meaningless game.
I think some “so-called” UK fans like to hate on our players as much as they like to cheer for them.

how is joe c 2nd team?
October 31st, 2007 at 5:20 pm
so its impossible to post on this site now?
October 31st, 2007 at 5:20 pm
Does Arkansas really have 4 all sec players… I don’t see it that way at all…
October 31st, 2007 at 5:21 pm
Also, I’ve said this a couple of times before, but Bradley is going to go off this year. He’s going to challenge for SEC player of the year and imo will be a lock for first team by seasons end. I’ve been hesitant about Bradley the last three years and I’ve always found myself in agony over some of his decisions, so it surprises me a bit to feel this way, but since BCG first signed on, every time I think about this year, I think about Bradley just dominating… reigning three, driving and dishing, ball hawking d… I just can’t shake the feeling or the belief that he’ll have by far his best year and really take this team to new heights…

How did Jodie Meeks NOT make this list? He is going to have a special year.
