- We started off the month still discussing Devan Downey’s game-winner.

- Following the shot, the questioning of Clyde really started to get steam.

- After Dennis Felton was fired, Bobby Knight flirted with the Georgia job.

- The Cats had a “verbal free-for-all” after losing to Miss. St. at Rupp.

- It was National Signing Day! And the Cats landed a pretty nice class.

- We were joined by Greg Anthony for a live blog, which proved him to be the slowest typer on the planet.

- A young man named John Wall started drawing interest again.

- We were treated to the Kentucky version of Frost-Nixon…at a gas station.

- Our first Kentucky Ale girl stopped by.

- The infamous KSR Grammy LiveBlog was held.

- Our family grew a little larger as Aaron’s UK Basketball Blog joined in on the fun.

- Fake Gimel warned us that the Kentucky government was preparing for a basketball disaster.

- Gator basketballer Chandler Parsons told us Rupp isn’t a tough place to play in. Or not as tough as Tennessee or Florida State, at least.

- Jodie Meeks saved the day against the Gators.

- Of course, the nipple guy didn’t hurt.

- Tomlin asked to be your valentine.

- Billy-Jeanine Part II

- Seth Davis dogs Matt Jones on Bomani’s show and then, of course, Matt Jones responds.

- The great Tom Leach joined us for a Live Blog.

- Ryan Parker told us a little story about Billy and Jeanine.

- Mosley brought us Know Your Enemy: Ankle Sprain.

- Gillispie’s squad beat down Arkansas, 79-63.

- Solzman strikes back.

- Sigh. Vanderbilt beat Kentucky. Again.

- To further rub salt in our wounds, Rick Pitino and Christian Laettner teamed up for a commercial.

- Cats fans did get some Duke revenge though as Seth Davis sat down for a Live Blog with Matt.

- The Bracket Buster Live Blog! Hours and hours of blogging….and an appearance by John Clay. And we got this great name for Tomlin’s son: LaDanian, Tomlin’s son.

- The Cats knocked off the Vols to remain in the NCAA Tourney hunt.

- NERD FIGHT!!!!

- The first of a million mentions of Adam Sandler wearing a UK shirt! OMG!!

- UK officially launched a “Jodie Meeks for Player of the Year” site….but the WITNESS shirts remained in boxes.

- The Cats got crushed in Columbia.

- In one of the final straws, Gillispie disrespects Tom Leach.

- Reports surfaced putting AJ Stewart’s status in question.

- Kevin Galloway blew an assignment and UK fell to LSU, 73-70.

    Firs..Go Cats!

  2. Alamo_Cat Says:

Let’s say UL pulls off the upset and we go 13-3 in the SEC then win the SEC tourney. 26-4 going in to the NCAA’s. Is 30-5 satisfactory??

  3. GoCats2 Says:

Just when I thought I had completely erased all those memories. Thanks Beisner.

  4. TayPrinceJr. Says:

I had fun celebrating my birthday at the Tenn. game but the LSU game spoiled my real birthday, I was pissed.
Btw if u look at my screen name Prince and I share the same birthday, what a crappy day it was.

  5. Pat_Wren Says:

Those links are depressing…and so close to Christmas. Please Beis get in the holiday spirit. Tis the season to be jolly….CATS ARE 12-0 AFTER TOMORROW!!

    FA-LA-LA-LA-LA-LA-LA-LA-LA!

Merry Christmas came early this year….JOHN FREAKIN’ CALIPARI!

  6. Cal Purnell here Says:

Wow, we’ve come a Long Way since Feb. 09…. About as far as Pikeville from Paducah!

One thing, we still don’t have any news on Jai Lucas?

  7. mocha Says:

If anyone needs a laugh read the comments under
the linked article about Clyde disrespecting leach.
All those people who were saying Clyde wouldn’t be fired,
what a great team we would have with pilgrim and hood
coming in, and probably the best was the comment about
“what coach in their right mind would come to UK if we ran
    Clyde off after two years?”
    My how times have changed….

  8. Pat_Wren Says:

    #5…
Make that 13-0 after tomorrow. My son is the Engineering major..I totally suck at addition.

  9. The Fake Matt Jones Says:

Damn!! I missed Coach Cal’s show on Fox Sports South tonight. Does anybody know where I can watch it?

  10. 84Cat Says:

Ah, good times. Did Mitch B ever personally apologize for that mess? Come to think of it, he owes us all an apology… that was painful.

  11. Cal Purnell here Says:

Bob Knight sounds like he has had too much Whiskey & Prunes on the KU-Cal espn2 telecast.

  12. mocha Says:

Cal giving KU all they want…….up 2 with 17 minutes left in 2nd half…

  13. uksbiggestfan Says:

#10 pretty sure he’s made up for it…UK2K!

  14. Travis Lee Says:

9….it will be on fox sports south right after the game tomorrow…Anybody who didn’t see it needs to watch it…..very interesting

  15. F. B. I. Says:

He will never be fired. EVER EVER EVER EVER. Just get it out of your mind. 20 losses and he still has a job.

    FAIL.

  16. high and mighty Says:

    hasn’t this already been posted.

  17. The Fake Matt Jones Says:

    #14 Thanks

  18. Mattsbowlcut Says:

I truly get sick to my stomach when I think about what things would be like if BCG was still here.

  19. TheApex Says:

Bobby knight suckin on bill selfs balls … Knight Is a joke… K wish I was the one who made his nose that terribly jacked up

  20. ukwildcatwildfan Says:

Did anyone see Florida against South Alabama tonight? They looked terrible, definitely not a top 25 team. They shot 3-22 from 3-point land. That’s three straight losses for Florida.

  21. BPsycho Says:

    Great post.

This must have taken quite a while. GJ

  22. pdiggs Says:

#15 thats solid. I also saw this exchange:

These next three games could determine if Gillispie is still coaching here after the season.

Fairweathered fans ran off Tubby and it looks like those same fans are trying to run off another coach. What coach in their freaking right mind would want to come to UK if we ran off Gillispie after 2 years? Why would Gillispie want to stay? We are on the verge of becoming the next Seattle of college basketball, thanks to our “fans”.

    Cobb Says:

7 - You might wanna let Mitch Barnhart know that, because I’m sure he’s not about to turn this school into a coaching carousel.

Haha I guess i am glad we arent seattle this year.
drewky, ukisgr8, cobb = EPIC FAIL.

  23. GoCats2 Says:

22)I read through a lot of comments and it sure was depressing. Amazing how much has changed in less than a year.

  24. pdiggs Says:

i will always be thankful for coach cal giving me this season no matter what happens in the future. I will always be a die hard UK fan through thick and thin but i was so close to jumping off a bridge last year. I needed this.

  25. BravoBigBlue Says:

I wonder if all those BG supporters on the February 26 post will move on to be fans of whatever school finally hires BG as head coach? There were quite a few Knight fans that became Texas Tech supporters. Any of you BG supporters care to comment now? Braddy? Anyone? Hello?

  26. BigBlueFan Says:

I loved how those idiots questioned our intelligence on Billy G. Just because we are fans, doesn’t mean we can’t see what’s going on. The one saying we would never fire Billy is probably the same one that said I was stupid with I said “it’s Kentucky” when I thought that is the reason Cal would come here.

  27. BigBlueFan Says:

What ever happened to TheFutureMrsGillispie? He or she looks like a complete moron when you read it’s posts. I dispise people generlizing the fans and putting them down for questioning anything.
