Cats pick up TWO football commitments

by @ 8:22 pm. Filed under Blue Blooded Opinions

According to Scout’s Brian Eldridge, Kentucky football picked up a verbal commitment today from Dale Trimble, a three-star cornerback from Alabama.  Trimble had offers from Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Tennessee, and our newest rival Clemson.

UPDATE: And now another! TCP is reporting that Anterio Sloan, a four star CB from Arkansas has also verballed to UK tonight. He had offers from Mississippi State and Nebraska and had been recruited by Auburn, Ole Miss and other schools. Two HUGE Cornerback pickups for the Cats.

I feel like you just took my post from the previous comments section and reworded it. C’mon!

Excellent pickup, and now TCP is reporting that we got Sloan too.

Off topic I know but does anyone else think that if Roy would have called a timeout in the middle of that first half run — say at 10-2 or something — NC would have won the game? I know you can’t tell what the outcome would have been but if he had killed our momentum at that point then who knows. But he didn’t and we won, I’m starting to like ole Roy.

    9) that was the one I was really hoping we’d pick up, he’s a 4 star in one of the services isn’t he? I think the DB position should be fine for the next several years.

  12. MGH Says:

Wow, suddenly the defensive situation isn’t looking as dire as it once did.

Welcome to UK Dale and Anterio! Go CATS!!!

Can’t wait to get these guys on campus, but looking at there bio, they will really benefit from a summer in the weight room. Sloan is 5-9 and 165 (a good build, unfortunately he’s pretty short). Trimble is 5-11 and 165, he will really benefit from some extra pounds if he plans to go against the SEC receivers.

  15. KYStout Says:

    10. No, if Roy calls timeout they get beat even worse. Wall gets hydrated during the TO and doesn’t sit any minutes the 2nd half. See how easy that is?

  16. gmo Says:

YES! By the way, Joker says….”kiss my a$$ haters”!

  17. nails11 Says:

I do hope this is the start of a trend, but let’s not annoint Joker’s brilliance just yet.

  18. MGH Says:

16 - Has he had the chance to yank them from the game when it’s clutch time? No, then no ass is being kissed yet. No one has EVER questioned his recruiting. It’s his play calling and decisions that make people crazy.
