Cats win…..Rutgers loses, Clemson loses, Texas loses, Oregon loses……could the Cats make into the Top 10? Maybe so……all of a sudden a game between two undefeated top 10 teams (if they of course can beat the Cocks) in Lexington could be on the horizon. Folks it is getting good…..
Florida just went down…..can someone say SOLO POSSESSION of first in the SEC East…..time to go to TicketReserve.com for Catlanta!

Yes, I think they will land in at number 10!!! Thursday Night is a BIG ONE!!! Glad USC won today also!
September 29th, 2007 at 11:13 pm
“game between 2 undefeated top 10 teams” WHAT?
Lets worry about Thursday first!!! Beating South Carolina in South Carolina
on Thursday on ESPN isn’t going to be easy. I bet UK is the underdog in that game.
September 29th, 2007 at 11:17 pm

September 29th, 2007 at 11:30 pm

us in position to win 10 games
September 29th, 2007 at 11:31 pm

September 29th, 2007 at 11:52 pm
Damn… I was sure Auburn was done, changed the channel and then I read this! AWESOME! Go CATS! Can anybody tell me how USCs defense is? I thought they changed QBs again too?
September 29th, 2007 at 11:55 pm
Last thing wildcats fans should be doing is making fun of florida considering gators accomplished more last season than kentucky football has…well, ever.
September 29th, 2007 at 11:55 pm
uk # 1 in sec east haha hate them damn gators tim who bo?
September 30th, 2007 at 12:01 am

September 30th, 2007 at 12:09 am
can the season end now and we get to go to catlanta to take on the bayou tigggers for the sec crown?
so if the cats’ win against the gamecocks and lsu beats the gators..it will be a showdown of the sec undefeated…
here is another weird scenario..if florida beats lsu and UK beats the gamecocks which i am not big on but if they do…then the Cats would be the only undefeated team remaining in the SEC…how cool would that be for over a week since the cats play on a thursday and the cats being the only undfeated sec team.
plus its possible when UK plays Florida on Oct 20th, the Gators might be travling to Commonwealth with a two game loosing streak going into the football contest against the Cats’.
September 30th, 2007 at 12:09 am
WOOOOHOOOO! What a TEAR JERKER!! The ole call-the-timeout-just-before-the-snap-to-the-kicker ploy is 2 for 3 this season. It got the Raiders 2 weeks ago, the Browns last week, and it’s the college freshman kicker to make it twice. Top Ten, baby!!!
September 30th, 2007 at 12:10 am
Hey Lee Martin (#21) I hope you are not talking about Tommy Tubberville having his job saved today. His Auburn teams have won 9 of the last 10 against top 5 teams, and 13 of their last 14 ON THE ROAD IN THE SEC! Typical ignorant UK fan.
September 30th, 2007 at 12:10 am
Does anyone else realize that if UK wins on Thursday then we’ll be the first bowl-eligible team?
September 30th, 2007 at 12:12 am
i have an uneasy feeling about Thursday, I hope I am wrong and the Cats can take down the Gamecocks
September 30th, 2007 at 12:12 am
there is another coooool stat 37.
this is soo cool..the independence bowl people can call mitch on friday if we win..hehehe…
September 30th, 2007 at 12:16 am
Just think of the Auburn fan on the Intern’s post crying and defending Tuberville on here the other day. I’ll bet he’s crying tears of joy.
September 30th, 2007 at 12:20 am
desmond howard says cats number 5…
September 30th, 2007 at 12:21 am
Desmond just put Kentucky in his top five teams on Espn!!!!!……..that blew me away!!!!!
September 30th, 2007 at 12:22 am
42 wss me, but i see 41 also saw…….how awesome is that though?
September 30th, 2007 at 12:22 am
Desmond Howard just put Kentucky at #5 in his top five teams in the country and earlier on ESPN they had Woodson as the front runner for the Heisman!! UK is getting some serious respect across the country.
September 30th, 2007 at 12:22 am
We’re in unchartered territory. Normally, if things go even a tenth this well, you could BANK on some mystical, last-second occurance to crush us and patch up the football universe. I don’t know anymore. You can’t be 100%, but this is as close as I’ve ever been. We’ll win on Thursday.
September 30th, 2007 at 12:22 am
Last 11 games UK has played in FOOTBALL,its record is 10-1. Last 11 games Notre Dame has played in FOOTBALL, its record is 1-10.
September 30th, 2007 at 12:26 am
Desmond Howard on ESPN College Gameday had UK has his #5 team in the country
September 30th, 2007 at 12:41 am
#46…Now that is some interesting statistics!
September 30th, 2007 at 12:42 am
I am as excited as anybody else…but we just need to sit back and enjoy this while it lasts. I hope like everyone else that it does…but we will get a reality check pretty soon. We always play bad against South Carolina for some reason…you’d think with the Ol’ Ball Coach taking shots at us pretty much every week, that our guys would have a chip…hopefully so, and I am real excited…BUT, we haven’t exactly beaten any real good teams yet (Arkansas has two great players, but as a whole team, I was not impressed at all). I hope that we are as good as we look most of the time, but we will see on Thursday night. But let’s enjoy this week…we will be in the top 10, and we are atop the SEC east…almost halfway through the season.
I was at the game today…and was really disappointed. With where we are right now, the momentum and hype around this team, first in the SEC east…the S-E-C football KINGDOM, and we can’t fill up Commonwealth on a beautiful afternoon. I know we weren’t playing Southern Cal or anything, but this is the SEC…tickets don’t go to waste at other schools that compete. If we are going to take our step the way it looks like we may, we have to quit ACTING like a “basketball” school, and start supporting our boys better.
September 30th, 2007 at 12:43 am
#34 bcgobsession how are you tonight?
September 30th, 2007 at 12:44 am
# 49 bcgobsession how are you doing tonight! lol!
September 30th, 2007 at 12:55 am
#48 - a lot of people in the upper decks don’t actually sit down, they walk around the edge looking down in the shade, at least a couple thousand doing this. Overall, compared to previous years when we played a much lower caliber foe our attendance was crazy today. I was there, and I was quite impressed on how it compared to how it used to be on games like todays. At least when we started the fourth quarter it appeared about 90% of what it was when the game started, granted people started to leave (including myself) with about 10 minutes left… (I wanted to stay, but girlfriend was nagging really bad about the sun and standing). I’d say our support is through the roof right now.
September 30th, 2007 at 12:56 am
Man I heard Desmond Howard had UK ranked #5.
September 30th, 2007 at 12:58 am
#52, have you ever been to any other SEC stadiums for a big game??? ( I have )…and comparing this to previous UK games, well, is sad…we have to step up, this is not the Big East, and I am well aware of Commonwealth, I have had season tickets for years…you are right, it was better than before, but there were a lot of empty seats in the upper deck.
September 30th, 2007 at 1:02 am
http://www.rivals.com/video.asp?section=football&pkey=&vidtype=highlig ht&vidid=807
September 30th, 2007 at 1:03 am
The game was a SELLOUT against FAU, so take a deep breathe. All of the seats were not full all of the time because people walk around.
September 30th, 2007 at 1:06 am
Herbstreet said he would put Oregan at #5.. WTF?
They were ranked #11 and lost AT HOME..
September 30th, 2007 at 1:08 am
# 52 , do you not understand…
-a lot of people in the upper decks don’t actually sit down, they walk around the edge looking down in the shade, at least a couple thousand doing this
-All of the seats were not full all of the time because people walk around.
-Not to mention students come and go as they please pretty much, some may not bother to show until halftime, some may leave at halftime, some may never even show.
September 30th, 2007 at 1:14 am
May on ESPN just said he would have UK in his Top 5 also. Wow.
September 30th, 2007 at 1:18 am
catscats…) That wasn’t me~ sorry to disappoint! I was at the UT/K-State game. Told the people I was with that I never thought I’d see the day that UT lost & UK won in football. It was an odd, kind of traitor-ish feeling rooting for the Longhorns…. But I love football atmospheres, so I was excited anyway. (Especially after I saw UK won!!) I would much rather be sitting in Commonwealth cheering on the Big Blue!
Herb Street would say that….. Andre Woodson~ headed up in the Heisman votes, UK is 5-0, tops in SEC East~ there’s some excitement building up for the culmination of the best football season we’ve seen in decades! GO CATS!!!!!!!
September 30th, 2007 at 1:28 am
The Cats wil be in the Top 10. More importantly they just may be one of the 10 best teams in the country!
September 30th, 2007 at 2:04 am
57…they lost to #6 and going to be #3 California by a touchdown and Oregon almost scored in the last seconds to tie the game, so that’s why he has them ranked so high. If Kentucky is ranked number 5 in the next poll then they will have gone from the most underrated team to start the season to the most overrated team. Just because I say this you all don’t need to accuse me of being a cardinal fan or a tool or whatever else you want to call me…I’m a Kentucky fan, but I don’t think that they are a top 5 team right now. Should have a better idea on Thursday how good the team is.
September 30th, 2007 at 2:14 am
If Kentucky is ranked number five behind USC, LSU, California, and Ohio St., and Kentucky wins against South Carolina, LSU loses to Florida, and ohio st loses to 5-0 purdue: then Kentucky would be ranked #3 going into the LSU game. WTH!
September 30th, 2007 at 6:29 am
Thanks Corey, very Kigelike breakdown. Oregon jumps 4 spots by losing, herbstreit is ignorant.
September 30th, 2007 at 7:57 am
This is why some Kentucky fans are a joke….Enjoying the moment is one thing, but talking about Atlanta is idiotic. Newsflash..we haven’t played anyone yet…UL obviously didn’t deserve the ranking, Arkansas has no QB, as a team with one, would have put UK away last week.
Hell, I agree, this is the coolest freaking time as a UK fan, but we can be 5 - 5 in the blink of an eye. Enjoy the moment, but don’t act like we;re the cock of the walk. Especially given the fact that this is the first time UK has been in this situation. Do it more than once a century and yeah, go ahead and gloat. Until then shut up.
September 30th, 2007 at 8:43 am
SHUT THE HELL UP 65!!!!YOU GET REAL ALWAYS SOMEONE OUT THERE THAT WANTS TO SAY SOMETHING STUPID!!THIS IS HISTORY FOR US WHY CANT YOU JUST GET OVER YOURSELF AS A RETARD AND GO BAC TO FLORIDA OR WHERE EVER YOU CAME FROM!!! AND YES WE WILL GLOAT!!!AND YES YOU SHUT THE FUC UP 65!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cuss all you want Sexton, but he’s right. The toughest part of our schedule is coming up now. Let’s not lose sight of reality while we enjoy the moment.
September 30th, 2007 at 9:03 am
Nothing like a hometown fan thinking their team is better than it really is. For the case study on this phenomenon, see:
Louisville, University: Football
September 30th, 2007 at 9:05 am
is that Johan?
September 30th, 2007 at 9:19 am
68 you must be 65’s cousin because no one said reality was lost..I SEE BOTH OF YOU DONT BELIVE!!MUST NOT BELIVE IN THE BIG BIG BLUE!!YOU CAN SAY WHAT YOU WANT. THERE ISNT ON GUY ON THE UK FOOTBALL ROSTER WHO DOSENT BELIVE!!!YOU MUST BE OLD OR JUST HAVE NO FAITH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

STOP TYPING IN ALL CAPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
September 30th, 2007 at 9:43 am
Let’s see…our next opponent’s QB is named Smelly and their mascot is a Cock. We better not lose to that!
September 30th, 2007 at 9:49 am
Anyone cheering against florida is an idiot. If the gators lose to lsu do you really think we can beat them if they are on a 2 game losing streak. Don’t forget that urban meyer is a genius and if we couldn’t stop kent states qb how will we stop tebow. Florida losing tonight hurt us a lot. We wanted them coming in cocky as hell. Thet will be grounded and focused now
September 30th, 2007 at 9:50 am
#74–And their kicker is Suck-Up (Succop). Great names.
September 30th, 2007 at 9:54 am
#75
Don’t be scared!!! You act like Florida turns into this evil monster if they lose. What Auburn did was expose them! That my friend will help the Kentucky staff out alot more than playing a undefeated Gator team.
September 30th, 2007 at 10:04 am
#77, spot on
September 30th, 2007 at 10:13 am
#75 - Yes the Cats can beat Florida on a two game skid! Why not?!?!
September 30th, 2007 at 11:00 am
Lets take one game at a time…UK will have to play a flawless game to beat USC…South Carolina is a good team..I dont think UK has a chance to beat LSU, but I think UF is beatable…..UK does not need to over look Miss State or Georgia.
September 30th, 2007 at 11:15 am
Just got home. I gave the entire FAU defensive line a BJ and threw on in for Smellyburger. I see where he got his name.WHEW!
September 30th, 2007 at 11:16 am
i agree with 80 but BELIEVE!!!!!!
September 30th, 2007 at 11:17 am
Don’t get ahead of yourself…
September 30th, 2007 at 11:18 am
I agree with 80 sort of. While I don’t think the cats will have to be flawless…I do think they will have to play very well to win at USC. Also, lets not forget we scored a total of 7pts against UF and LSU last year. I realize both of those games were on the road, but those two teams certainly aren’t much worse than last year. I have a dream to be in Atlanta too, but we need to concentrate on UK beating USC this week and go from there.
September 30th, 2007 at 11:27 am
Cats ranked #7 in AP poll
